I have an idea for the extra coaching position. Don't laugh at my idea.

Let's hire Shaq and put him on the payroll as an ambassador or some recruiting specialist. He represents the university like no other. He would be able to recruit for LSU for any sport. Shaq has a great story and I bet he alone could reel in talent all over the world. I bet he would love to do this and would probably enjoy it vs that gig he has for the NBA. He loves meeting people and is a great person so why not? Getting talent today is more of a popularity contest anyways.

I'm with you Bayoufightingtiger. I like the idea. Is it practical? Probably not. On a basketball recruiting trip it would be awesome. Money talks and Shaq needs to recoup some of that money he put up to build his statue. Oh yeah...

He already does that when asked and he does not need a precious coaching position to do it.
A year or two ago he went to dinner with the cruits at Texas de Brasil...FWIW He needs to be there next weekend!
