Which makes CC look like a total dumazz. Kid had skills but was black-balled for one game? total BS

He was shite in every game his Freshman season. He had multiple drops (in multiple games), he couldn't run routes, he was slow, and he wasn't good at blocking.

Huh? No he hasn't. He hasn't been sitting on the couch. He still has 2 years of eligibility left and that's more than a lot of guys get.

Why are you making it sound like such a tragedy? Its football. A game. He'll be fine. At least he has a lot fewer blows to his head.

True. I just hate that he wasted 2 years of eligibility.

He was still practicing and working out in the offseason last I checked. He also did get in games during the season. I have no idea why you're making it sound like he did nothing over the 2 years. If anything LSU wasted his ability during the 2 years. Trey Quinn will take his abilities with him, and I promise you he's a lot better now than he was when he first got to LSU as an all-around receiver.

If I'm being honest, the biggest waste of talent LSU ever had was Russell Shepard. That guy was a highly unique talent that was forced into being a traditional WR. Granted its possible the forced adaptation to a traditional WR might have been what gave him any shot at the NFL.

This may be a stretch. Wasn't he a 4-star coming out? I mean, I dont remember him being this bad.

I'm friends with the mom of a 4 star WR that graduated from LSU recently and he almost never got playing time. It's tough when the team is loaded. He sat behind Landry, OBJ and co.

Isn't he leaving because he thinks there are at least 5 players better than him? If he can not compete with those players to get the starting job he won't be able to compete in NFL either.

And word has it both Miles and Ball were really pushing for Quinn but Cameron wouldn't put him on for passing plays. You're right it's a damn shame, but again that Bama game is a whole new game if Quinn doesn't drop those two or three passes.

Actually, those drops didn't change too much. We punted and then Bama fumbled at their own 5 and we still could not score a TD. The Quinn drops actually did not change the game at all.

But, they FELT like they did, which is all that matters, I guess.

I wouldn't say wasted, he's had a good place to compete and develop.

I don't think his drops were any more egregious than our other receivers but hey, I'm not out there watching these guys day in and day out.

He'll be on my list of former Tigers that I wish could have contributed more.

No,the parents should be mad because Cameron lost confidence in him and rarely threw him the ball.

No that he wasn't used.

Because he other guys were better than him... Not that hard of a concept. Dupree and Dural were clear cut #1 and #2. Tyron Johnson and Diarse had 1st crack at WR3 and WR4 with Quinn and Chark rotating in every now and then.

He wasn't used because we were using other guys at the position because they were better. And I like Quinn and in no way am I a hater. I was pumped when we signed him and I hope he does well wherever he ends up. But we have guys ahead of him that arr better and have incoming prospects that will get on the field very quickly as well.

wrs on roster

Dural Sr
Dupree Jr
Chark Jr
Johnson So
Ferguson rs Fr
Dillon rs Fr
Sullivan Fr
Anderson Fr
Davis. Fr

Looks like Chark and Johnson would have had a solid chance to be in front of him playing a similar role. Dillon is a slot guy too. It will be interesting to see true freshmen guys on this list and how Jazz compares to those big guys. Davis should play for sure. Looks plenty deep. Diarse was the biggest loss because of his blocking ability. Best of luck to Quinn, but this board is way too attached to his high school accomplishments.

Are you insane? The last drop would have put the game away. LSU 1st down and bama 1 tol. Ball hit him square in the hands. Will be happy to see him not on our team forever again.

I like how the rant see players for 3 hours a week and then immediately assume there is some conspiracy and injustice. He played a lot against Wisconsin because he was highly recruited. He scored on a 2 point conversion and was targeted many times. As the season went on his PT dropped and dropped because they saw he wasn't up to the billing. Our receivers had terrible drop issues all this year and Quinn still didn't see much of the field. The coaches also watch the same 3 hours y'all watch plus the 20+ hours of practice per week. If the coaches had some conspiracy against him he would stick in out at LSU and take it to social media like college players do these days. He understands that being a HS stud doesn't always translate to college and he got past up with more skilled guys coming in. For those that think he is going to Clemson or TCU, I bet you he does not. He would not sit around another year at a big time program. He is going where he can play. The guy had a great post and is handling this with class. He is a good kid that will thrive at a smaller school.
