I respect Nick Saban. I admire Tim Tebow. I laugh at Ole Miss. I’m impressed by Kirby Smart. I feel sorry for Texas A&M. I want to punch Urban Meyer. I’m apathetic to Arkansas. I was frustrated by Cam Newton.

Now, it remains to be seen if they will be allowed to play for Ole Miss.
Former Florida International Panther and Detroit Piston Stephenson signed to Ole Miss on the same day as the SEC ordinance. Stephenson started all 31 of FIU’s games in the 2025-26 season, averaging 18 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

I guess they are ok with other schools pushing the envelope, just not LSU.

I have absolutely "no sauces" but I suspect the SEC tried to prevent LSU from hiring Kiffin and bringing Wade back via back channels and LSU obviously gave him the bird. Then they keep "throwing gas on the fire" by continuing to publicly being the voice of decent.

I think it does back to LSU just doing what we want and pushing the envelope. They are just using us as the examples of how to gain more power.

Those two moves back to back and the accompanying media firestorm gave Sankey the cover he needs to make an example out of us because he knows public sentiment is already aligned against us.
