I guess we don’t have to worry about Baker leaving us at the end of the year

We should do everything we can to get him a head coaching job.

He is way overpaid for his results and the excuses need to end. He said he had the dawgs this year and in the two road games he has shite the bed all over

Blake should have taken the Tulane job. He won't be in the running for a better one.

THis is like that movie Failure to Launch....where the parents try to get the kids to go out into the real world but they are too comfortable and just don't want to leave.

We cannot get Baker to leave if he cannot show that he is worthy of being taken. We are stuck.

I wouldn't so sure he will not be leaving us. If he continues to coach the way he has in our two losses, I don't think LK will put up with that another year. At least I hope he won't. I do hope a light comes on for Baker this year real soon though.

The flip flopping on Baker going from genius to moron is wild.

But I’m just as guilty. Every time I’m bought in to this guy being the next big thing, I’m reminded he might be a slightly above average DC at best:

Unless our defense turns into the 85 Bears the rest of the season, Lane is letting his arse go in the offseason regardless.

This just isn't true. You can be a good HC without being a good Coordinator. A lot of Coaches don't have Coordinator experience and get HC jobs and become successful. Just because he over thinks himself and is his own worst enemy at times doesn't mean he wouldn't make for a good HC. I actually think if he wasn't calling plays and concentrating on the program as a whole could be a good HC. I just don't think hes an ELITE in game defensive play caller.

The 2 pt conversion coverage had to be a blown play. No one would have that drawn up in a play book right? Somebody somewhere fricked up the execution.

Its not just the 2 point conversion. Its the whole defensive scheme when the game is on the line. Its way to passive and whoever is teaching the 7-8 man zones needs some serious help.

I completely agree with that. For me, the biggest WTF all night was that last play? I just cannot believe that’s a designed coverage.
