One team was not expected to do anything and the other one was preseason #1.
You hate Will Wade, no wonder so many here hate you.

You’re such a dipshit.

This thread is why I love the "you guys are mean to Ree for no reason" people. She comes here looking for attention, plain and simple.

His agenda gets old very fast.

Back to the topic, Will is gonna be coaching with a chip on his shoulder next year. Should be very entertaining

I’ll admit I was scared when we hired him. The program had fallen so far I was scared of the hire. I was so beaten down by the losing I wanted us to build it very slowly using an older proven coach to move us up a level then move forward step by little step after that. But once I heard him speak the first time for his intro press conference I knew we had something big.

He was caught on tape (based on the reported transcripts) talking about paying players. There is a big difference.
Then when interviewed by the NCAA, one of the players and all his relatives denied any payments were made. Case closed, at least for the moment.

BTW, I heard you robbed a bank. The cops are coming to arrest and put you in jail. No evidence to prove the case against you but we heard you did it.
Not really fair, is it?

I don’t follow basketball, but the guy looks like he is addicted to opioids...

“Allegedly talking about paying players.” There’s no actual proof that’s what he was talking about. A lot of the quotes we were fed by the press were cut and spliced together as well as taken completely out of context to make them look a certain way.

She is going to tell Daddy O about all of the mean posters on TD at their next meeting. He will not be happy.

Ponamsky may get slapped when O hears the propaganda isn't working

Really? Where was this on the tapes, I haven't heard any reports where he actually paid anybody anything. So can you post here the information where he was heard paying players?

I love loud mouth coaches who embarrass the university. They’re the best.

You're thinking about the football coach. This is a thread about the basketball coach.

If the NCAA had microphones up the arses of everybody in D1 basketball then there’d be more cheaters than have been with your wife while you’re doing highly moral things all day. Take a deep breath and hop off your high horse and introduce yourself to the real world where we actually understand how recruiting works and how high level college sports operate.

Nobody loves LSU more than Will. He was really not expecting what he saw from the fan base when he was suspended. He’s here for the long haul boys.

Time to defend the SEC Championship

You do realize that his goal is to coach back on the east coast. His ultimate goal was UNC or Duke, which is obviously never going to happen now. His buddies in these parts also say he'd leave LSU for Clemson, NC State, UVA, FL State and a couple more jobs in the east that I can't remember at the moment.
Maybe y'all will get lucky and the wiretap shite will blow over, however unlikely and no school will even want to touch him with a 10 ft poll.
Hos recruiting is starting to suffer also because the number one grad transfer (Blackshear from VA Tech 6-10 C averages 15 points) lost all interest in LSU when because of the wiretaps.

LSU and will Wade are to college basketball what SMU was to college football in the early 80s. CHEATERS!! Wade should have been fired. Anybody with half a brain or a conscience would know this. I'm ready for all of the GTFO comments but he was caught on tape paying players
So I would take it that all college basketball schools that give some type of incentive to a player outside the scholarship would be Cheaters in your book.
In that case there would be no college basketball as we know it.

Why do you suppose a black kid from out of state ever goes to a college not close to home? Especially since they aren't legally allowed to be given travel money to go visit home or bring their parents to see them play? Is it an overwhelming desire to go to a school they have been a big fan of? Nope, the majority of black kids follow the NBA and know nothing about college ball except what the recruiters tell them.

Now the truly elite players do know which "coaches" have had success in getting players into the NBA. All they consider college to be is a necessary evil for one year before turning pro. So in a word it is all about money!! They all consider it their right and due to be paid for their services in some way.

When you see a player from poor circumstances suddenly driving around in a shiny new car or getting a cushy high paying summer job he hardly ever goes to or his parents suddenly having enough money to move to the city where he is playing, you know it's not because they were going to enroll in the engineering school.

All schools do this if they want to be competitive. College sports bring in millions in TV money, game tickets, concessions, merchandise, etc. Lots of short, fat white men make a comfortable living by being coaches, adminstrators, officials, AD's, tv announcers and on and on. They benefit from the team having a winning record and doing well in the tournaments.

Open your eyes. This has been going on for the last 50 years at least and probably even farther back. So sure LSU has probably cheated but so have the other top 100 programs.
Either ban the sport, which they will never do until it is no longer popular, or don't be a self righteous hypocrite.

1) pretty sure you’re the poster who said he wasn’t even a good coach when LSU hired him

2) you do realize Clemson was prepared to fire Brownell if Will expressed that he’d take that job prior to his agreeing to coach here? Many folks here were concerned it was Tom Herman part 2 bc Clemson is his alma mater. He told Clemson no.

3) yes the smear campaign cost us a couple players THIS class. No doubt. I’m pretty sure you’re not familiar with how our 2020 class is likely to shape up.

4) pretty weak troll. So if he has success he will leave but if he doesn’t leave it’s only bc nobody else will touch him? Got it

5) I guess we should just be thankful there’s not a single job on the east that he happened to want when the LSU job came open. That’s really good fortune for us.
