No one really hated him. Personally I would have had him in a 6th man role versus playing 34 minutes shooting 1-10 from 3 with 2 rebounds.

Tonight he passed on the 3, drove the ball, and dedicated himself to helping on the defensive boards. If he plays like he did tonight, he can be the starting sg for the next 3 years.

Will do. Thanks brother! I do like those . I also have to admit, I love the gold jerseys too and that’s an area where McMahon > Wade.

I personally think his shot is too flat.

This has been posted before. His shot has been flat since coming back from his injury which could be related to his lower half where the power of shooting longer shots is generated.

I think people just want him to take less 3s. Nothing personal.

I don’t understand his shooting this year. Kind of question if the injury is lingering

Well, you know it is. Look at how flat he is now compared to before his injury. Long jump shots are all legs and his shot has changed. With that the minutes probably will be good for him heading into next season to get his lift back OR he will have to change his game to be a slasher and mid range shooter.

Some people recover differently than others when it comes to ACL surgery. I was strictly a driver when I played bball but when I tore my ACL I couldn't play for months so I just shot. When I came back I had a 3 point shot which I didn't have before but it still takes time to trust your knee and some take longer than others. Since i never saw Miller shoot before the injury I don't know if that affected his shot but I do think he trusts it more now by the way he drove to the goal last night. He started doing it more last few games but it was more of an afterthought when he wasn't hitting 3's. Last night he drove with a purpose and the mental part of the game is just as important as the physical part. Maybe the trust is finally there. We will see next game.

Expectations were high for him, from what the report was last year, before injury. It’s totally the expectation game, here. I don’t think anyone hates him, just had probably unrealistic expectations, and we knew we needed him to be special; and he just was fairly average, after injury, and his attempts to shoot himself out of a slump, failed. He looked like a ball hog that couldn’t shoot. He was pretty good against Vandy, so, hope he turns the corner, and trusts that knee more when he drives….

Miller is a Wade guy so he is perfect target for these bootlickers.

Wade used Miller getting hurt as the excuse for not having a good 3 point shooter last season. Wade made him out to be a 3 point sharpshooter and people expected him to be one this season due to that. He’s just not one.

Probably the thing that gets fans frustrated the most this year is the amount of 3s he takes, a lot of which are bad looks. Kinda like Darius Days last year. If he gets hot he can fill uo a scoreboard from 3, but he’s mostly been taking bad 3 point shots at bad times.

I think his quick release works against him when he’s got open looks.

I suspect he was showing that in practice

The amount doesn't bother me as much as the shot selection. A curling three of a screen is not a very easy shot to hit consistently. Deep threes are never east shots. And there have been many times this season where LSU will go on a bit of a run, often times to close a deficit, only to see Miller take a transition three or unnecessary three for the situation. He misses...the opponent gets their own transition look...LSU's run ends and they don't get back into the game.

Last night he only took 4 threes...and had tied his second highest scoring output in SEC play this year (18 points). The big reason for that is he was 9/10 from the FT line. He's an 81% FT shooter. So why, for a team that is the worst in the SEC offensively, has McMahon allowed him to continue to take a ton of tough 3's all season long? Miller should be getting a minimum of 5ppg from the FT line.

The only answer is maybe a drive to the rim is out he hurt his knee and he hasn't been fully confident in driving in just his first season after surgery?

Let's not get carried away his play has not garnered "he could've went anywhere" but he is hustling and seems to be playing better. Hope he sticks with the Teen Wolf head band.
