Our best QBs since 2007 have been transfers. Mainly because our coaching staff, for years, have had no clue at all about developing a QB. They don't get any better over the weeks or years.

Sure, go ahead and believe our longtime TE coach is the hidden guru we've been waiting for (hint - he's been on the same staff that couldn't help a QB for years).

Much better to be in a position in a year or two and need another Burrow to transfer in instead of hoping Narcisse can step it up. A transfer who has actually been taught to play QB by another staff. I'm sure there are lots of 3rd stringers at power 5 schools right now who know more about playing QB than any of our QBs. If they are underclassmen, keep an eye on them. When they can't beat out a freshman in two years, they'll transfer here.

People are upset because LSU is now one injury away from having to start Myles Brennan with his backups all being walk-ons.

This is not that difficult to understand.

I just want a real qb coach that can keep and develop a qb... haven’t had that since jimbo. But these damn kids and their family egos are too big.

Lets just hope the walk-on is a transfer that has learned from someone else.

I'm more just piling on about how bad our staff is on pretty much every level. Development, man management, retention, etc. Our only hope in the future is another transfer in a year or two anyway.

You do realize this is a message board and you don't have to actually read the content, correct?

Dude, Ed Orgeron is our coach and now you’re getting worried?

Burrow was starting, Brennan was backing him up.
So if we got to Lowell we were fricked anyway.

I thought you O lovers weren’t capable of sweating?

LSU hasn’t DEVELOPED a decent QB since Matt Flynn. And that was 11 years Ago.

Even if you count Jarrett Lee, that’s still 7 years without developing a QB.

Can’t always rely on pulling in transfers
Would be nice to develop our own

Burrow and Brennan are still here. What is there to get upset about?

Who backed up Etling last year after LSJ transferred?

Why are you acting like we lost our starting QB? Or even our back up?

It is true, tRant’s favorite player is the back up.

Everyone, and I mean everyone was here begging for Burrow to come. And it was known that up to 2 guys would probably bail once they saw the writing.

I don't understand the anger. You're getting exactly what was asked for.
I was against bringing in Burrow because I knew it would disrupt the team.....and bingo, here we are

My concern is more about recruiting promising QB’s to come here in the future, knowing we have a shite track record of QB development.

We’re fast approaching being dependent on a Transfer/JUCO route with future QB’s and that is a scary proposition

No one expected 2 to transfer this season. Everyone expected Narcisse and Brennan to be on the roster for 2018.

You guys really need to quit making this shite up.

Landing Burrow has less to do with the depth concerns than not signing a quarterback in the 2018 class.

I’m not mad about the transfers. I’m still mad that O didn’t sign a QB in 15. Justin Rogers being a top 50 guy that was in state.

If we don’t have faith the staff to recruit and develop QBs then we made a 10 million dollar mistake. Well it’s higher now with the other buyouts.
