People are tired of the platitude about how good he can be if he was healthy.
Either play WR at LSU or don't.
So.. what, you think every player with a string of injuries should just quit?

If he is ever WR1, we are in a lot of trouble.
Purely depends on how you define WR1. If teams are forced to put a good corner on him and roll safety help over the top, he's our defacto #1. No other WR demands that kind of coverage.

You're getting downvoted, but it's hard to argue against this position. He has 22 catches in 3.5 years and has played in 22 games during that time. I think we are dealing with a bit of recency bias because his best game was his last game vs. Wisconsin (3 rec, 56 yards, 1 TD). But overall his career has been largely nondescript. Mostly because he has been unavailable more than he's been on the field. I say that as someone who was a big fan of his coming out of HS.
It would be nice to have him because the one thing LSU's passing game hasn't done this year is hit many deep shots. But there's nothing to suggest his return is going to significantly change the offensive production. LSUs WRs/TEs have been just fine this season. Best case scenario Hilton plays 10-12 plays per game.

Dude hasn't played all year and you boys think college Amari Cooper is coming back from injury
Posted on 10/8/24 at 10:04 am to JTA1985
He's not playing with his injury

Exactly

Some players, for whatever reason, are just injury prone. Chris Hilton is one of those players.

Just makes the defense play a little differently

He’s playing Saturday dip shite

He’s literally playing Saturday
So you mean “literally” in the Gen Z aspect or that he is actually/physically going to line up at WR in actual game time?

Remember Myles Brennan was 'questionable" for like 6 weeks and no one even asked why

Scone said he was ready last week but they intentionally sat him out to be ready for Ole Miss. we’ll see i suppose
So instead of getting a guy valuable reps we elect to bring him back in the hardest game so far? Makes no sense. Doubt he plays. Won’t be up to game speed.

I happen to think it makes some sense.
I like Chris but he's made of glass, and he's also an upperclassman now. He shined in the bowl game without any real game prep.
Running Go routes against So. Alabama is not something he needs to get ready for Ole Miss imo. He just needs to stay healthy and I am confident he'll be fine just off of practice reps...he was reportedly tearing it up this fall camp.

Moscona knows just as much as the average poster on this board.
Like him or not, he, Gordy, T-Bob, Hester et al up at 104.5 would have far more intel than fans

Seriously. Dude runs 95% vertical routes and takes the top off of the defense.it’s not like he has to get in game action to get his crisp route running back.

Hard to imagine that he was dressed out against LSU going through warm ups, didn't play, then even didn't suit against S Alabama, but is still questionalble for this weekend. I've got to believe he is about as healed up as he is going to get.

He is expected to play this weekend. They were definitely covering up his real injury
