Say what you will about his successes and his failures, but CLM doesn't deserve this public lynching. This is how they finally took Cholly Mac down. It is getting ugly like that was, and that leads to nothing good. I thought the LSU powers and fan base had learned from that terrible time. Was I wrong?

I agree. People need to back off a bit, lets see what happens the next two weeks.

Tomorrow is probably the biggest game of Miles career, however.

I actually agree it has gotten out of hand. Some speculation is fine, and more involved speculation is fine behind closed doors. But you're right, this is a public lynching with a mob mentality. The LSU fanbase and media surrounding is packing the guys bags before even seeing the outcome of these next two weeks.

I am in the camp that LSU could and should do better. I am a huge critic of Les Miles, but man we need to give the guy an opportunity before we move the conversation any forward than saying that these next two games are important.

Wtf are you talking about? He's richer than pretty much everyone on this board, and to call it "lynching" is a bit dramatic. He coaches at a big time football program, and this is what you have to deal with when you make as much money, and have everything in terms of talent and facilities any coach could ever want.

If he can't handle this, then he needs to step down now.

Reading Anderson's comment, I don't think it matters. He has already driven the knife into Miles' back.

We are rushing headlong into potential Tennessee level of mediocrity with smiles on our ignorant faces...

The amount of fear of change that some people have is quite interesting.

we'll see what happens. Tubs survived Jetgate, Miles may very well survive lynchgate.

I'll say that if the BOS doesn't have their man, then I'll agree that Anderson sucks.

He is a football coach, stop making a mountain out of a molehill. He gets what he deserves based on the product he puts out there on the field, it's called accountability.

That was 30+ years ago. I wasn't alive to remember it and I doubt a lot of these whiners are either.

Just because he's rich doesn't mean he should potentially be treated like garbage.Thats stupid and idiotic to act like "he should be able to take it." Only a moron thinks like that.

This needs to be done in private, not some drunk BOS member popping off.

I've been saying that CLM is the wrong guy since I heard rumors that Bertman hired him. I hope he gets canned even if he wins the next 2 games. He has always been a horrible coach and now he has finally been truly exposed his horrible coaching skills

I wouldn't go that far. I think, to an extent, Les' performance has deluded people on the potential and inherent ability of the LSU program. You simply cannot compare the pre 2000/saban LSU to what it is now. I won't get into the details, but I liken it to someone sitting on a boat load of oil that finally started to seriously drill and struck big. A small example is the implementation of the tradition fund that started brining huge cash flows into the program. Anyway, it's hard to compare Tennessee or Nebraska (a lot of people use this) to LSU.

Years of mediocrity approaching and we have fans jumping for joy? Wow, truly sad to be an Lsu fan. Fire the coach for some unicorn who'll come in and get us to the promised land? Bunch of idiots. People around the nation are noticing, as are all our recruits.

This kind of attitude is exactly what I'm talking about. Entitled. Self-righteous. Overbearing. Ignorant. Envious. Total lack of empathy. Blind and deaf to all that is unlike what is immediately wanted. Abusive. Immature. Your post has it all. Congrats!

But I am curious. What the hell does how "rich" this coach is have to do with anything?

How is he "being treated like garbage" ? ???? People are using words, they're not physically assaulting him. I doubt he is very aware of many things that are said about him.

Oh cry me a river. I'm sorry your feelings are at stake. Go buy some tissues if you're upset.

I was and guess what change was needed then and I think It's needed now. Maybe Miles turns it around but doesn't seem likely. There are some glaring position defecincies that will take time to overcome

You have always been a horrible poster, only it didn't take 11 years for that fact to be "exposed".
