Eh you kinda lose me with the "luck" argument on Auburn. How do you really account for what amount was luck and what wasn't? Obviously every result involves some measure of good or bad luck. Rather than get down in the weeds of that subjective nonsense I prefer simply giving O credit for wins and blame for losses. Giving him some credit for the Auburn win doesn't change the atrocious start to the season (see: Troy and arse-whipping at State) or embarrassing bowl loss for which he should be blamed.

wonderful. Knock yourself out. I'm sure you've bought your 'Canes at from Lids.

Fair enough.
See at least I can concede something, unlike guys like Ree who give O credit for everything and blame for nothing.

Obvious - even Shea Dixon has done two articles explaining the result of the great classes signed between 2013 and 2016.
No one is disputing the lines were a little thin, although some of this was from the attrition within the coaching change. The talent level was still great. There was a narrative last year that there wasn't enough talent. LSU did not lose to troy and ND because of Les Miles, those were losses that belong to the coaches.

Wow !!! This is pretty stupid even for you.
This isn't me saying that. How am I stupid? There was literally a poster one page ago who just said Canada fricked over the program and there are posters who are running with these narratives.

So you think Donte whiffing on the TD's in the UF and ND games are someone else's fault?
No one is disputing players don't frick up. Mistakes happen that are out of the coaches hands, I don't disagree but you are missing the point.

Jesus you people remember every word I have ever typed. I was making fun of the idiot saying Eaux was running the offense and then in the same post blaming Eaux for not knowing Brossette was the starting RB. Which is it? Is he running the offense or is not? If he was running the offense wouldn't he know who is starting at RB?
Um.... shouldn't the head coach be aware of whats going on at all times?
You are missing the point. In the end you keep attributing failures/mistakes to everyone else but O. Les Miles caught shite for every little thing that went wrong here but its a different standard now it looks like.

Do you think that is more to blame than LSU scoring 10 points?
Also, do you remember that we tied the game up with Florida AFTER that TD?

Auburn was bad? Interesting
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We were lucky to win that game.
Like Troy was lucky LSU missed two field goals?
Like Notre Dame was lucky LSU missed two FG's and Donte and another DB fell down (Donte twice) on the play that allowed their game winning touchdown?
That kind of lucky? Coming back from being down 20 points is lucky?
Like I said. This board gets dumber by the second.

You can believe that auburn was a good team while at the same time believing that LSU was fortunate to beat them.
Well someone claimed all the wins were against bad teams and another that Auburn was luck..so..
That's kinda like saying Troy was lucky to beat us, or Alabama was lucky..
None of that's true. They outplayed LSU, we outplayed Auburn.

I've already admitted that saying it was luck was probably not fair.
I know people don't really know what to do when someone actually makes a reasonable change in stance on an argument.

Some of our fans won't be happy about LSU football again unless Orgeron's tenure ends the same way Jim Pittman's did at TCU.

Sounds like to me you are continually bashing a player

No one is "crying" about wins. Rather, illustrating the fact that looking at a team's record in a vacuum is a pointless exercise. A 6-2 SEC record, when only 2 of those 6 wins came against teams with final overall records over .500, just isn't something that is going to excite me. The Auburn win was nice. Outside of that there was nothing overly impressive about last season.

No, no it doesn't.
When I said average at best, I was trying to be polite. Because I don't really believe o is an average coach.

That’s fricking retarded.
No one clinic to UAB or ULM after Saban won championships.
Except O apologists.

The talent level was still great
LSU started two TRUE FRESHMEN on the Oline. Charles started in the very first game of the season. The first time since before WWII that this had happened at LSU. So yeah it may have been great but if the great talent can't play what does it matter how great it is?

Well there you go. Scholars quote the ranter board all the time. Why not do it also right?
But you said that I said it. Why?

But it was one of your numbered bulleting points about what I had said. Now you agree with me. frick dude !!!

Um.... shouldn't the head coach be aware of whats going on at all times?
Of every position, every player for every game? Does he go over snap counts and audibles with the QB? Coverages and alignment with the DB's? Calls, signals and alignment for the Oline? Does he have the time to make every decision for every player and every position group on every game day?

Yeah, my bad. I (for some stupid reason) thought this thread was about the coming season.
I'm sorry, carry on with your crying about last season. Good luck with that !!!

He hires people to do that but it's ultimately his responsibility.
