100% true. So glad that Les Miles is gone. He was an awful coach. BTW, where in the Kansas is RickDaddy?

If I had to guess, I'd say under the desk in CLM's office!

Half true. OBJ was the second leading receiver on that team. Landry was a special teams stud that ended the season with only 4 catches.

Lee was having a damn good year and got screwed because we faced one of the best defensive coaches who excels at affecting quarterbacks.

Lee threw interceptions in consecutive passes in the 2011 regular season game. Lee had bad performances against Bama all four times he faced them, two as a starter.

Without looking at what either one did running the ball against Alabama, Jefferson was much better in his four games against Bama than was Lee. Lee's games were 2008-2011.1, and Jefferson's games were 2009-2011.2. (They both played in the 2009, 2010, and 2011.1 games.)

Lee was 24/58 (41.38%) for 316 yds, 1 touchdown and 7 picks.

Jefferson was 37/57 (64.91%) for 375 yds, 2 touchdowns, and 1 pick.

They were both merely "okay" quarterbacks that suffered from how they were used. Jefferson was better against Bama. Lee was clearly snakebitten against the Tide.

Having said that, the BCS game plan should have been better and adjusted once the Jefferson-option offense was utterly destroyed. Lee should have been given a shot.

By the end, it was beyond obvious Miles was too stubborn to change his offensive philosophy to keep up with times and needed to go.

This was the part that pissed me off the most. His stubbornness made it impossible for the team. I always had the feeling that the players worked harder than Les.

He was so stubborn about doing it his way that it seemed the players wanted to win more than he did.

Cool, man. One play in his one outing above 50% completion against Alabama, a game in which Jefferson completed 77% of his passes.

Same game:

quote:

1-10 at Ls06 Jo. Jefferson pass complete to T. Toliver for 19 yards to the LS25, 1ST DOWN LS
Ls 1-10 at Ls25 Jo. Jefferson pass complete to Rueben Randle for 75 yards to the UA0, 1ST DOWN LS, TOUCHDOWN, clock 08:17.

This drive started at the LSU 6.

What did you prove, exactly?

That you need to STFU when you don't know what you are talking about

In 2010 Miles called on Lee's passing ability to bail Jefferson out against Tenn, Fla, and Bama. Miles certainly knew that JJ wasn't picking up that 1st down with 2 min left in the game vs Bama. He was 2/3 for a grand total of 4 yds in the 4th qtr, and had a fumble and an int in just under a qtr.

So Miles knew once again in the BCS game that the only hope of turning the game around was Lee. CLM instead ran the ball 10 straight time in the 4th qtr. He refused for the fans to be proven right, by taking the chance on letting Lee, yet again, win another game for JJ

And since JJ scored a whopping total of zero points (the only time in championship history, btw), only a dumbass suggests that Miles made the right call

I'm tired of reading this bullshite narrative. Miles knew his decision to pull Lee was the wrong one, so he ramped up the offense to make JJ look like a world beater

I agree with one of the twitter commenters. Tell the story or get over it and quite with the vague references.

If he's said what happened I missed it.

There is no conspiracy, and Will and TBob have never insinuated such. They hate that they practiced one way for a month, busted their arse doing so, and Miles canned it come game time.

It's that simple.

I will never, ever forgive Miles for 1/9/12. Coach O helped with it this year.

Those who look at the facts as there are realize that CLM set the program back by YEARS with his idiotic offense.
