U know he bleeds purple and gold but he doesn’t come across as a HOMER.

Even the State guys at the end of last nights broadcast were excited about Ben calling the game tonight. Said he was easily the best in the business at any level.

I cant disagree with them.

He’s great. No signs tonight that he was an LSU guy, which is the way it should be.

Beat me to it, I was going to start this same topic. He is the best, smart, knows teams inside out. I’m bleed purple & gold and so does Big Ben but you would never know it. Just Ditto to what you said, I could listen to him every minute of every game!

No doubt I love Ben and it's always a great feeling to find out he's on the call

I did cringe some when he referred to the Moo State fans as maybe the best in the game today.... That's just a tad too far!! Lol!

Maybe they are. They have only won on college world series but the cheer like the have won more. Don't be so insecure.

Ben is great.

I know he is all LSU but he's also partial to pitchers regardless of team. His comment after the State pitcher threw two borderline strikes but both called balls was classic. Something like, as a pitcher I have to get one of those.

Putting aside he's an LSU Fighting Tiger Baseball LEGEND, I find his analysis to be very illuminating, particularly as it relates to pitching.

I watch a lot of SEC baseball, and Big Ben is hands down the best in the
biz. Funny enough, I am starting to appreciate Chris Burke's commentary more and more each year. Kyle Peterson is a close third, in my humble opinion.

Yes, I'm a dork.

Orioles fans love him too. They feel exactly the same way we do when they get a chance to listen to him.

Makes baseball sound fun and understandable, and that is all it should be. Definitely learn some shite from Ben along the way too.

MyDonald is great. When he’s just on ESPN+ doing LSU games, he deserves a better play by play partner than Lyn Rollins.

Big Ben with the facts - this team had 13 players drafted last year, they are a young hitting lineup, AND they will get better as the season unfolds.

Agree 100% with all the comments. He teaches the fan while we’re watching the game. Epic story teller as well.

When Lynn is done and ready to hang it up Woody needs to hire him as the full time LSU guy.

Yea Ben is great but yesterday he wasn’t at his best. It happens though when you call as many games as he will this year. You can’t always bring the A game.
