This coming from a guy who is getting paid $100MM! GTFOH!

What did he say that is incorrect here?

One is not like the other

For the last time: Coaches cannot use their salary for NIL. Even if he wanted to, that’s more Scott Woodward’s fault than BK’s. Other top coaches are getting paid very similar salaries and still get good NIL contributions.

What’s he saying that’s not true? What other coaches are giving their salary to buy players?

Nothing is incorrect. But he says it’s unfortunate it’s all about money. If we offered him half of what ND was paying him would he have come to LSU? Of course not! Because in his case it was all about the money. For him to criticise others for chasing the money is hypocritical.

Brian des say things that can get him in trouble.
“It’s about what the most money can get”
We got 8 wins for 10mm.
He just needs to take a saban approach and say less.

That's not how this works. Read up a little bit before you post your opinion.

I'm waiting for you to post where he's criticizing players for taking the money. He said it's unfortunate...

You people are fricking unhinged.

I listened and watched the presser where he discussed this. I didn't take it as criticism but laying out the environment CFB is in..

That’s not how what works? We paid him a lot more money to leave ND and he did. He was fine with that.
Other schools are paying his recruits a lot more money to leave LSU. He has a problem with that. All of a sudden that is “unfortunate.”
Nothing I need to read up on to see that is hypocrisy.

For a guy with as much experience as he has he sure needs a lot of second chances at making decisions.

Not quite the gotcha you thought this would be, huh?
All he's doing is lamenting the fact that recruiting guys based on merit and fit is over.

You are making such a superficial and childish analogy. The guy is simply stating a fact. He knows that’s the current state of NIL and you have to deal with it. Anything to pile on. He’s our coach so why don’t you fade away until he’s not.

What's Brian Kelly majoring in? When is he supposed to graduate? Lol

It’s not hypocritical at all, he’s stating the facts and reality of college football today.
Being hypocritical would be Kelly agreeing to 10/mil a year then coming back and saying no I need 12/mil if you really want me.
These players are agreeing to terms, committing to schools and then going back after a final offer and saying even though I agreed to that I want 100k more a year.
Eliminating signing day and having players sign contracts at commitment vs the circus it is now would alleviate it, but that will never happen
