During one of the “Coaches Show” when bama was playing clemson…they asked LM “you've played Alabama/Saban more than anyone here, what was your strategy?” His response, “we would identify their best strength and attack it”.
Let that sink in
When Saban took over Alabama, LSU and Florida (with Tebow) were the best teams in the conference. What were LSU and Florida's best strengths? Power running, right up your face, and break your defense. What did Saban do? He attacked that, built teams to completely stonewall the line of scrimmage.

Your Saban argument is horribly flawed. Defending against your opponent's strengths isn't the same as "attacking their strengths."
Miles did the dumb thing - identify Bama's defensive strength, and then run straight into it, with extreme predictabilty.
No sane coach does this - it's why coordinators work 20 hours a day watching film and finding ways to negate their opponent's strength.
It's why teams rarely threw to Dion Sanders' side of the field. Les Miles' philosophy would be to do exactly that.

Have you not heard that old saw "bend but not break"? And to say "utter nonsense" indicates you've never played a down of football, at any level.
But hey, you stick with it.

fricker was looney tunes crazy and retarded
Beat them 5 times. Got screwed in at least another 3 of those by the refs. And was never given a rematch like Lord Saban was.

Two of Miles' wins against Bama were when Mike Shula was there, and they weren't good.
One of Miles' wins against Saban was in Saban's first year at Bama, when he was rebuilding.
After that, and the talent on each team was about equal, Miles lost 7 of 9.

You're not being intellectually honest here, but that's fine. I expected it.

My fumble return for a touchdown > your 90 yard drive with nothing to show for it. If that sh*te happens all game long, no one will remember those 600 yds. amassed between the twenties. Just the final score.

It’s obvious to all knowledgeable football fans that a team that outgains the other team 600-0 has outplayed that team.
But if you want to die on this hill, go for it.

Why blame JJ for Les Miles incompetence?
Posted on 7/28/21 at 10:30 pm to Beauxcefus
I couldn’t watch the first time, Miles should have been fired solely on the decision to play him
Posted on 7/28/21 at 10:44 pm to Beauxcefus
JJ time at lsu will always be remembered for that stupid toss right to the bama player in the ship
one of the dumbest plays i’ve ever witnessed and wasnt even surprised he did it
y’all placing a lot of blame on miles…
but JJ just flat sucked…i dgaf what coach taught him he just wasn’t any good

We’ve certainly had some troubling QB play. Hatch, Lee, Etling.

It's the only thing that fricking matters.
For example, if we win our first few games 21-17, but all our points were scored by the defense and our offense gains little yardage, the coaches and fans shouldn't be happy, just because we're winning.
We should all be greatly alarmed, and the coaches should make drastic changes to the offense because we'll need it when we play the better teams on our schedule.
Merely looking at the scoreboard at the end of the game and letting those two numbers solely determine how the team is playing (and whether a change is required) is far, far too simplistic.

I would rather have had Russell Shepard at QB. He could not have been any worse.
This is who we should have used in the title game. It was obvious that Bama had trouble with dual threat QB’s. We had a month to prepare. For those saying that you don’t change your offense that late, I would say...what offense?
