There is a lot of premeditated confusion and surprise here.
I am an LSU fan and do not rely on others to agree with me on that fact.
I want LSU to win every game.
But because we do not have a head coach with skills and credentials befitting our program, I do not expect to win games that a more capable coach could win.
The fact that I can realistically assess the disadvantges under which we play, does not mean I don't hope we win them all.
Fans are not required to ignore the elephant in the room, and it they do, they will never get him out of the room.

That's absurd. I have no problem with somebody being critical. I have a problem when people aren't rational or objective.

Compartmentalize. It's not a difficult thing to do, especially when considering it's the team you love more than anything outside of family. In some cases, maybe more than family.

I didn't think Johnny Jones or Curley Hallman was capable of doing shite, yet I still cheered for them every game. A 2 win season in football and you think people didn't hate the coach? Yet, there we were in the heat and the rain hoping they win.
Remember the 'Aints? Did amyone have faith in that team or coaching staff? Yet, I was still glued to the TV for every second hoping they would win and cheering them on.

I was WAAAAAAYYYYYY more critical of Miles and still wanted him to win. I disliked him at press conferences and thought he was an absolute embarrassment, still cheered for him to win. At least Coach O is a cajun and it's colorful in a way I can relate to.

Well I don't know why you are jumping into a conversation about hating Eaux then. If you don't hate the head coach - Honestly - what I said does not apply to you.
For the people on here that truly hate Eaux it will be hard if not impossible to pull for LSU to win while knowing any success the team has Eaux reaps the benefit.
They will then become bigger idiots than they are now. All the hatred, all the bashing and now they have to pull for the team that makes them liars and petty human beings. It will be very enjoyable to watch.

Well, I don't think he's going to be successful at all and I don't think he's a good head coach. In no way do I believe that he deserves this job or is the right man for the job. I think it's an absolute joke that he was hired.
I have no problem with him proving me wrong. I've been wrong many times in my life and will be many more times. What's the big deal?

I have said over and over I am willing to change my opinion on O if he does something to change it.
I have just always maintained that he hasn’t done that yet.
Being wrong isn’t the same as lying. Have an incorrect opinion isn’t either.

For the third time now, you jumped into a conversation that has nothing to do with what you keep saying.
Just drop it.
The comment you replied to and my comment are geared towards the people who HATE the head coach. If you "Honestly" don't hate him, then again, this is not about you.
A poster said earlier in this thread that he despises (his word) the head coach. Now he HAS to pull for a team to be successful all while knowing that if they are successful the guy he despises will get a big extension and raise.
