Me too. I am an old woman, and in all my life, I cannot imagine having to "nut up" and go back out there after the way this season has unfolded for that kid!

He was quickly into the frying pan when RP pissed away his future and this team's season with it...

then out into the fire at Auburn when Hatch went down and wasn't there to help.

And then the gates of hell essentially opened on him when Hatch breaks his leg and there's no longer any supporting cast!

Everyone talks about his age, RS status, but I tell you what, when he makes it to the end of this season, HE'LL BE A MAN!! I tell ya!

I think we see the results of this difficult growth next year!

Lee, with LSU, reminds me of Rex Grossman with the Chicago Bears. All the right tools, the right team but lacks the right decisions. Lee may still be the answer BUT let JJ play the next 3 games. This will give Lee a chance to still practice, watch game film, see live action while allowing LSU to know what we have with JJ at QB. I think this is a MUST before next year.

A ton of good QB's have had atrocious first years making the jump from HS to NCAA and also from NCAA to NFL.

It's obvious the kid is having major confidence problems. He has regressed since the beginning of the season. I think all the adversity is really starting to take it's toll. I admire the kid for getting back off the mat and to continue making the throws, but yesterday was by far the worst game he's played so far this year. He was obviously way out the box.

The guy has some raw skill and a good attitude for a QB. He has been asked to do a lot this year against some very good teams and it hasn't worked out. I am going to reserve judgement until next Fall. Hopefully he can stay injury free through the Spring and Summer and stake a claim to the #1 spot next year and play like he is capable of.

I'm with you. I would, however, like to see Miles start JJ the rest of the season, so we can gauge JJ's progress (and to give him the needed PT). Then let superman, Lee and JJ battle it out in the Spring. May the best man win.

Actually you'll just need to flip the table and paint the person who calls you out, as crazy...tell he/she something to the effect of:

"Oh yeah, I'm the idiot...you're the one conducting draconian searches of my posting history. Instead of living the Rant, you should consider getting laid every now and then...that is if it doesn't interfere with your D&D schedule."

I am sticking with Lee also. I like the kid he
will come around. My wife and I really get after it sometimes abou all the INT's I sai he is young
give him a chance. I was proud of the defense
against Bama. We kicked theire arse all over the field. Somebody is going to bust their bubble just wait and see. That little punk are QB from
Bama I kept waiting on one of our guys to knock
his cock into his watch pocket.

as the commercial says....
they were who we thought they were

Lee is who we should have known he was to be.
Coaching knew of his experience and downside and took the chance....not news, so
let's build OUR QB up, not tear him down.

He is young and short on experience.....
that is not HIS fault, LSU went after him and they got him.
to a large degree, LSU is a victim of circumstances..
most of this is a result of RP.

i am sticking with Jarrett Lee

He will be OK.

and NO he has not regressed.

Why do people keep saying this? It's demonstrably not true, and he makes good decisions. He just stares down his receivers and throws with shitty mechanics. That's it people. He's already good at everything else.

Jarrett Lee is now 9 games into the season, yet continues to make consistently bad throws and decisions. I was more than willing to accept that there would be a lot of this at first, BUT I SEE NO IMPROVEMENT! Personnel - wise, LSU is really in a bind. Lee has nor panned out (so far), and their only remaining choice is a true freshman with almost no playing time. It would seem prudent to give JJ playing time next week because 1. Lee has not proven to me he is a starter. 2. JJ is only one injury away from being the starter. I suspect JJ will get playing time against Troy - it will be interesting to see how much, and how well he plays - it would be difficult for him to play worse then Lee. KC.

Like scrambling to avoid the pass rush? Oh wait, he can't even do that...

We are into game 10 of the season and he can't even hit a screen pass or slant route the right way.

Even Marcus Randall was doing that to pretty much perfection by game ten.

+1....he is learning to read defenses in the SEC...an education that does not come easy...he will be fine...did everyone really think he would just step in and take over this position...That is why Hatch was the starting quarterback....Lee needs time to learn.

and WHO was this against
Tulane, who has a higher ranked D than us,
and the no. 1 team in the country.

I just wish I could critique some of you the first few times you did something.
....he is having to learn under fire and constant criticism of what's to be his fans.
Some of you should be ashamed for such narrow views....

he also had some time on the bench as a back up..
to view and learn.
