You’re annoyed?
I live in South Carolina. Their arrogance already began at church this morning.

I don’t know about y’all, but I watched that game last night feeling that Ohio State was the better football team. I think this is a more favorable matchup for LSU.
Absolutely agree...

Ideally we would have played OSU in Round 1, let Burrow destroy them, then face the defending champs in the NCG for our coronation.
But, this will do
But, this will do

Both have good narratives. Many people see that 2012 season as the end of LSU's golden era and the beginning of Clemson's dynasty. In 2012, LSU's late game collapses against Alabama and Clemson cost LSU another shot at the SEC Championship and BCS National Championship, as well as an 11 win season and top 10 finish. From then on, Alabama and Clemson would dominate college football, and LSU would not be in serious contention again until this year. LSU finally beat Alabama this year and could get redemption against Clemson as well.
The Ohio State narrative with Joe Burreaux is a really juicy one that would have been very fun. They didn't want him, disrespected him, and passed over him only for Joe to find a new home and develop into the best QB in the nation. Joe having to beat his former team would have been a great story line, but alas...

disappointed we didn't get Ohio State
I felt that way until the LSU postgame press conference.
Towards the end, a Wall Street Journal eporter asked Burrow, something to the effect, "would it be nice for you to play Ohio State in the National Championship Game"?
At that point, I realized - here we go...as gracious as Burrow, LSU, Ohio State and the fanbases have been about Burrows success...now the media whores are going to attempt to spin this into a Joe Burrow revenge game. We dont need that kind of bullshite and distraction.
I'm glad we are not playing Ohio State for that reason.

Yes. Now we are in lockstep with our Ohio kin against those Clemson Tigers...much better place for Burrow to be in for the next 2 weeks of questions...

Playing tOSU would have been a storybook ending. However, I think Clemson is the easier team to beat.

I don't care who we played, this team wants to win a title it don't matter who's there in the way. Ohio St wasn't good enough so they are not there.

Their secondary is no joke.
I watched them multiple times this season. They have been sliced by Shea Patterson and Jack Coan.
OSU's secondary may have a lot of NFL talent, but they have shite the bed a lot this year.

OSU was the better team they just had a lot of calls and errors that forced the score the other way
It is what it is
Any team. Any time. Any place.

Well this just isn’t true at all. We all love Joe just as much now as we did when he was on our roster. All the OSU coaches and players loved him too, and he wasn’t disrespected at all. There were plenty of times we wanted him to play over JT Barrett. Overall, he barely got beat out by Haskins, who ended up having a historical, heisman-caliber season as well. We’re all rooting for Joe in a few weeks too.
