I always thought CEH was the best back going into the draft and would be a first rounder!

I’m here to boast! I got a lot of push back when I said I thought he was the best back and he was a perfect fit for the NFL and could go in the first round.

He passed every test this year and, if not for him, we don’t beat Bama. The only thing he will need to get adjusted to is blocking at the professional level and picking up the blitz.

If given the bulk of the carries, I predict offensive rookie of the year for him. 40 catches for 450 yards and 1200 rushing yards.

This analysis is great!

Good call!

I was definitely a naysayer until this year. After the season I still didnt think he'd be first off the board. Glad to be proven wrong.

I doubt they'll use him like that from the get-go. I'm thinking more like 800 rushing and 600 receiving.

P.S. Kansas City sure does love LSU RBs, huh?

Good stuff!
Clyde will go down in the top tier of all-time LSU running backs...and certainly should have an awesome pro career, and KC was the perfect landing spot.
Without Clyde, I don't think we are 15-0 and NC!

He’s obviously a skillful guy but his best game was all heart. That Alabama game and his determination reminded me of Hester against Florida in 2007

Always thought he was a top 3 RB, and could rack up 2000 AP yards for the right team.

Clyde is going to be a special pro. His game is built for the modern NFL, as he literally can do everything you ask of him. Run between the tackles? Have fun tackling him. Catch the ball out the backfield? Easy. Line up as a receiver? Watch him run routes out of the 5 wide sets. There’s a lot you can teach, but you can’t teach heart and determination.

Let me disagree with you here. We beat the snot out of Bama. The score doesn’t reflect how badly they were manhandled. Clyde made about three plays in that game that probably don’t get made without him - The two spin moves in the backfield and the fingertip catch after which he plowed past Diggs for the first down. And that last play very well could have been made by one of our other backs.

Anyway, given that we would have taken a step back without Clyde, that MIGHT have made Bama competitive. We needed to take two steps back to definitely lose that game. The first step back gives Bama the ball with a chance to take the lead. They never had that, you know. The second step back removes our chance at a game winning drive.

Catch a high thrown pass? Outrun a safety? Clyde is great, but your statement is hyperbole to put it nicely.
