Pelini is a fricking psycho. That dude needs anger management. I really think he'll end up in jail.

You don't have to be a douche. A simple yes or no with reasons for your opinion would be sufficient (see all the other posts if you need examples).

Nope. If Chief goes, retires, is fired or whatever, I'd rather take my chances on somebody different.

Chill, dude. I wasn't trying to advocate for Chief to be fired either. Just trying to generate discussion.

Coach Orgeron or bust.

Dude is a recruiting monster and he would be hilarious to watch on the sidelines.

I was just trying to see if any of our fans on the Rant actually liked him as a DC and would want him back under those circumstances.

Chavis is the best DC money can buy right now. Next year will prove this, again.

Go to Youtube and look at videos of his defenses in 2005-07. They are way better than what we have now.

In 2005 we beat Urban's UF team 21-17 despite 5 turnovers and 12 penalties. Wroten, Williams, Landry, Highsmith, Cameron Vaughn, Melvin Oliver, Chase Pittman, etc...

His defenses were just above mediocre here and have been below mediocre at Nebraska.

Didn't they give up like 90 points in their championship game last season?

Exactly Nebraska has not been lighting it up on defense since Pelini has been at Nebraska, didn't they blow a 21pt lead to UCLA this year. Pelini back to LSU would be a mistake.

Chavis was our rock until this year. (With possible exception of end o game against Bama last year) and now the ranters throw him under the bus cause he let too many players go to the NFL. What have you done for me lately should be the ranter motto. Give him till next year. Then he'll be the genius he once was, yet again.

Pelini has been catching more and more heat at Nebraska (especially after losing to Minnesota with a back-up coach on Saturday). A lot of folks on the Rant want Chief to be gone due to the "3rd and Chavis" situation. IF we fire Chavis and IF Nebraska fires Pelini, what would you guys think about bringing Pelini back as DC?

It's obvious you guys don't check up or read up or watch anything outside of the SEC. That guy has had below average defenses at Nebraska. They gave up 36, 63, 70, 45, 45, 41, 34 in losses from 2012 to now.

Horse shite. His supposed defensive prowess has cost us more games than the shitty offense we used to blame everything on.

Yep in 2011 & 2012 our defenses were so bad. Weren't they ranked in the top 10 in college football those years. Yes, yes they were. This year is hopefully an anomaly because of the youth on defense, which I believe it is. But next year if that defense is not back to LSU standards, start the fires it will get hot in the kitchen for Chavis.

Regression. Cost us against Bama & Clemson. nearly cost us against SC.

2013
Both losses are on the D. Mett can throw INT's all day but when you can't stop Ole Miss on 3rd & 15 it's the D.
