Hvl - 10 second backcourt, awful drive before the half, got Reese third foul, turnover led to Reese fifth foul. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. She’s terrible
exactly. Everything you said was the major mistakes. Even if her effort makes up for the rest of her mistakes, all of that is what cost us this game. She was a liability

But we saw what happened when Poa replaced her. She’s the best we got

What killed us today was Williams having her worst game, and Reese playing dumb. Reese was played great, but dumb. Del Rosario is a terrible rebounder, and doesn’t offer anything offensively, so we needed her. If Reese doesn’t foul out, and Williams makes one more of her 3 point shots, I think we win.

Doesn’t explain that fricked up inbound pass. WTF was that?

I haven't seen a replay, but throwing a dart: she saw, or thought she saw, someone breaking and jumped to make the pass. Either she realized she was wrong, or the target wasn't looking, but she realized she was going to land in bounds, so she had to let go of the ball. Her mistake was leaving her feet; the pass was just a byproduct.

Flae’je wasn’t aggressive enough on offense and needs to initiate the offense more.

Williams struggled on defense. Her man hit multiple 3’s because she lost track of her.

HVL had 3-4 bad plays that cost 10 points. Going early the last possession of the half resulting in the 3 by SC just can’t happen.

This team just lacks the depth and a true pg. you knew when it was only a 5 pt game at half as well as lsu had played they were in trouble.

HVL has fu@#'d LSU all season with this dumb azz notion of "learning" the PG position. She is waaay too slow and doesn't have a clue of when and how to control the offense. She made mistake after mistake and is the main reason LSU lost tonight. How many TO's trying to simply inbound the ball? With no depth, this team can't afford to carry her weight. At this point, she needs to either play the SG or transfer back to L'ville.

And she just tied the game. STFU

HVL can't play the PG! She either needs to start contributing by running the 2 or this team can kiss another title good-bye. HVL is too slow and can never keep her player in front of her. She creates collapses on the defensive end because teammates always need to help her. Offensively she too slow at guarding her player OR too small to help. She is completely lost on both ends of the floor.

Who would you like running point over her? Because poor Poa was utterly outclassed on the court tonight. Anyone else?

We have no other point. Without her, we lose by 15.

Remember they hype when she transferred? Guess she’s a bust.

She's a great player. She's just not a great point guard, which we very much need.

But contrary to popular belief, she's not a bad point guard, either.

HVL turned the ball over twice inbounding the ball. Tried to force the ball in when the defender had leverage, which led to AR's 3rd foul. She had a really stupid 10 second call and just bad passes all game long.

She doesn't have the speed or the vision to be a PG. Plus while her effort on defense is great, her defense still is bad overall. She always need help and that collapses the defense. While she's better than Poa, I doubt she is anywhere near good enough for LSU to win it all.

HVL struggled immensely tonight. IMHO, the experimentation with her playing PG should end. I've felt that way all season, tonight was just the last straw.

100%. We’re back to back champs with Alexis Morris at PG.

Well we don’t have Alexis anymore. What do you suggest? HVL might not be Morris, but we can win with her at point. She’s not the reason we lost tonight. She played great defense and made some clutch shots. She made some mistakes, but so did everyone else. They’re human.

She's the point guard. Point guards are going to have turnovers. She had, what, three? That's nothing.

On the inbounds plays, she was getting no help from her teammates. It looked like someone broke for the ball on the second one and then turned, but HVL was already committed to the pass because the five seconds were running out.

We all know HVL is not a true point guard, but we have nobody else. She is an intelligent basketball player, and for anyone to suggest otherwise is just dumb.

We have no depth, and it cost us the game tonight. DelRosario is just a giant slug out there. Poa seemed overwhelmed by the game. And with Reese in foul trouble and Williams having a poor shooting night, it seemed almost inevitable that South Carolina would start reeling us in. Once our starting five got tired, our movement slowed both on offense and defense.

To pin this on HVL, though, is wrong. But the Rant is gonna rant, I guess.

You are correct my friend. I don’t see another point on this team.

100%
She gets too much heat. Go check the box score. Look at the individual stats. To say she isnt an equal contributor to this team is stupid. She’s a baller.
