You might want to listen to Darry Beckwith’s interview. He said Bo knows which buttons to push with each player. He knows whether a player can take tough direction or whether he needs firm guidance. He understands his players personalities and they respond.

From article: "In all the practices I attended in Aranda’s four seasons at LSU, I can’t recall his voice ever being more audible than a conversational level," Rabalais writes. "Pelini will be heard. That’s a promise."

I've thought Aranda would be more like a Bill Snyder of KSU or Chris Peterson of BSU/UW type of HC, he doesn't have to be a screamer to win a lot of games. Hire a couple of high intensity coaches on his staff to handle that aspect of motivating guys. Screaming didn't win that Arkansas game that LSU lost in 2007 in DV. I would say that L made most of us think the BCS title shot was lost, although LSU pissing away multiple TD opps in the 1stQ didn't help. Hillis running for 250 up the middle, well, it seemed that way at the game.

So Pelini sounds just like Saban. And Saban gets results.

Yeah but he also sounds like Muschamp.

We know as much about Pelini as anyone. Love the guy. Wish I could find the link of him partyIng after the 2007 National Championship game. That was priceless because he wasn’t ‘intense’.

Aranda version works in 2020 and going forward. Pelini yelling at kids is the 1990’s version of football. Not sure what resonates well these days.

Then the "new" generation will be lost and forgotten.
As they should be.

I'm ready. This team will not lack fire next year.

If Bo and Shelvin don’t each get a 15 yard penalty on the same play this season I’ll be disappointed.

I am behind Pelini 100%. He has earned the right to be respected by the Tiger faithful from his past performance. I’ll take my chances with him anytime!

Of course, he won't have to worry about such an occurrence at LSU, where he'll work for Ed Orgeron for $2.3 million annually. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised Pelini took the job. He told me more than once over the years that he felt he fit well in Baton Rouge, which has a sizable Catholic community. His personality also fits well with the tough, blue-collar nature of LSU's program.

as opposed to those hoity toity folks up in Nebraska?

Pelini is old school where yelling and getting on players arse was the norm. The new generation can't take that kind of coaching. They need to be held and coddled.

Tom Landry won 2 Super Bowls and 250 NFL games without ever raising his voice or cursing. This narrative is stupid, why do you people feel the need to attack one guy in order to validate the next? If Pelini were leaving and Aranda the incoming DC you same fools would be arguing the exact opposite.
