Bet you $10,000 game is played Saturday in Baton Rouge, no matter if/when contraflow goes into affect.

Youre an idiot... if an evacuation is ordered out of NO on Friday evening, there is no way that LSU will have enough security for the game. All state police will be called up and sent down to NO for the contraflow.

Not to mention anyone living in the NO and Northshore area would not be able to get home after the game

Exactly. If that storm stays on its current track I don't see a game being played Saturday in Baton Rouge. Katrina changed everything. None of us know when or where it will strike but I don't see Jindal taking any chances.

Yup...my point exactly!

I want this game to played more than anyone....I'm just being realistic!

Earliest that contraflow will go into affect is Saturday, according to Gov. Jindal. Most likely scenario is contraflow will begin early Sunday morning. That's not coming from me, that's coming from the Gov.

I'm up to $40k that I see in this thread, now will be the hard part ... collecting once contraflow is scheduled to be put into affect and the game is still played Saturday.

Tigers-Appy State. Saturday. Tiger Stadium.(and then probably contraflow starts Saturday night or more likely Sunday morning).

I never realized that we had some many meteorologists on TD.com. What a coincidence.

We've got offensive coordinators on the Rant, defensive coordinators on the Rant, why not meteorologists?

There is another team that named their entire university after hurricanes and their recruiting seems to be pretty good.

Just messin' with ya.

No shite and if an evacuation and contraflow begins Late Fri/Early Sat....

All state troopers will be called up... LSU will not have the 50-100 troopers that they normally have for a game.

I sure as hell hope the game gets played but im being realistic.

I hope this happens, if this is the case then Cuba will slow and absorb a lot of the storm.

I can appreciate fans wanting the game to be played. But if that storm is headed anywhere near Gulfport, and that appears likely, then a football game is the last thing on my mind.

I know many of you experienced the destruction of Katrina but for those of you blessedly spared the devastation, you have no idea of the anguish associated with standing on a lot of land where your home once stood and finding nothing of your life, much less your home, remaining.

College football is great. Geaux Tigers. But priorities have to be maintained. I don't see Louisiana officials messing around with this storm unless there is a clear and definite shift away from the state.

Well if it doesn't take up residence in the Gulf for a while it might not necessarily be the worst thing ... I mean if nothing else it may hit as a 1, 2 tops that way, not a 3-5
