Pretty simple solution is to put him in the mid week starting rotation and give a guy like Blake Money a shot on Sundays

So replace him with a P just as inconsistent?

Edwards on Sunday. Especially if Shores and Herring can start being consistent options out of the bullpen for us.

If you don't need him in high leverage situations earlier in the weekend

Just saying you can read a person. And from the beginning he looks uncomfortable and nervous on the mound.

Yea I'm not up for taking really good bullpen arms out of the bullpen.

Dude couldn’t even throw a strike warning up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse bullpen session in my life.

You realize the job of a Sunday starter is not to give you 7 shutout innings with double digit K’s right?
Sure it would be great but most of the other suggestions so far are valuable assets out of the pen in games 1 & 2.. not somebody you’d save for an often times meaningless Sunday start

Herring or Shores should get a run at the Sunday role

Money > Hurd right now. Money cruises along and eats up some innings then will have a slip up. Hurd hasn’t made it through 2 innings looking good all year.

Money give you 2-3 decent innings before he goes off a cliff. Hurd just jumps off the cliff with his first pitch. Thought the pitching coach was some kind of guru. There must be someone on this roster he can coach up to a Sunday starter.

I just feel like Edwards has been the second best pitcher on the staff this year, and he needs to get as many innings as possible. The best way to ensure he gets a lot of innings is to make him a starter. I think we have enough depth in the bullpen to at least try him as a starter.

I’m not gonna knock Wes Johnson, what he’s done with Skenes, Floyd and some of the young arms is as good as anything I’ve seen at LSU in a long, long time. I threw Money out there because at least there’s potential for him to eat up some innings for you but I agree with posters who brought up Edwards as a possible solution if JJ is confident enough the rest of the pen can absorb that loss.
