is this some sort of irony project you are doing? some tribute to yogi Berra? talking to me repeatedly to tell me you aren't talking to me repeatedly?

LSU and SC were at the bottom in NIL this year, in terms of spending on Men's basketball.
So your common sense and little intellect tells you that south Carolina spent money on basketball in 2023-2024, enjoyed resounding success that they haven’t experienced in 7+ years, and then decided nah, we don’t want that anymore.
How stupid are you, exactly?

lemme repeat
saying things are funny when they are not is a rhetorical device used online by midwits in lieu of actual counterpoints.

this would be a great counterpoint to the claim that it was as simple as every team that spends wins, and every team that doesn't, loses, and the standings are simply a listing of most spending to least.
nobody is claiming that.
spending more could be helpful, even for McMahon. do you disagree? you think MacMahon could buy the top 10 players in the country and still lose I don't. and you don't either. but what if he bought 2 of the top 10? would he be worse?

I think I agree with this. they couldn't shoot. they couldn't rebound. no real depth. not enough talent. need to buy more talent to survive in a historically difficult conference.

By the time the season gets rolling, we’ll all be hyped up on the dudes we got.

SC also gave their HC a $1.5M annual raise after last season. So they decided to fund everything…except the players?
Notice you heard absolutely nothing about LSU or South Carolina being the “lowest funded programs” before or during the season. It was only when their seasons both went to shite and they were set to play one another that it was “suddenly” revealed they were the lowest funded programs…without any proof other than “hey, just believe us”. Then again, maybe it was just a coincidence and took until late February to learn that information.
If it looks like bullshite and smells like bullshite, it’s usually bullshite.
But give LSU credit. They found a way to convince people that returning the worst performing HC in three decades is a good idea. “Don’t believe what your eyes saw over the course of nearly 100 games. We have the solution!!” (Please donate today!)

will wade yelled about this all the time, he said the school didnt help him win at all. he managed to win in spite of them because he is the best coach in America. I bet if you asked will wade if its hard for McMahon to succeed because LSU doesn't support mens basketball, he would say yes.
Having a winning program is sometimes about more than X’s and O’s and recruiting. Like it or not the basketball coach at LSU must also be a Bruce Pearl/Dale Brown type showman. Give people a reason to put asses in seat before you win, give them a reason to donate to the NIL to help your cause. I blame this fail on Woodward more than MM, a persons personality can’t be changed, he missed bigly there.

Did we not have 2 top 15 recruiting classes?

There’s a big gap between the best start in program history and the the worst.

LOL
So are you saying Alabama St had an equal talent level to us? The SWAC is probably the worst conference in D1 basketball. They were 12-6 and somehow won the conference tourney. Playing a single possession game to the likes of them is embarrassing.
How about equally shite performances against UNO and College of Charleston?

Man, if you can’t look at those rosters compared to the rest of the SEC and tell me they aren’t the worst, I don’t know what to tell you. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Alabama state was trash. They finished 4th in the SWAC and barely over .500 overall. They got an auto bid for winning their tourney but they’re not a good team at all. They didn’t have a single Q1 or Q2 win.
