Burrow at 219, is more of a mobile threat, than Brennan. Playing at OSU has also developed his awareness of knowing when to run.

Although I 100% agree with you the gif you posted is clearly a designed QB draw.

Yessir, good OC knows how to make em pay if they get blitz happy. Ensminger may just shock the world this season. That's my feeling, and I wanna keep that feeling till it can't be felt no more.

Its not a designed QB run. Its a MLB read, if the LB stayed put during the motion he would have passed.

Burrow can handle some defined runs whereas I would be worried anytime Brennan would think about running the ball until he books up. Hopefully our line will play well for both of them to be successful from the pocket. Let’s go!

In concept it might be an advantage.

In reality, breaking in a new offense with all new skill position players at every spot, first game out, vs a good and swarming defense like Miami- disadvantage for us. You'd like to shake the kinks out some before playing someone like that.

It might have been an RPO where the option to pass the ball behind the LOS was available but the linemen going downfield shows me the blocking scheme was run.

This assumes that we have a viable offense. Otherwise, it will be a Miami advantage.

Think last 6 games of 2016

With an accurate QB and Giles & some young stud receivers

Gonna be interesting

You are missing the point! There is not a lot of game film on Borrow to study his tendencies.

I saw that as well. But I believe the center was making the same read. That's why he shut off the backside.

It's not like Ensminger is going to run some crazy, new-fangled offensive scheme. Just watch the spring game to see what the basics will look like.

It ain't rocket science.

Bruh, the center releases 6 yards upfield as quickly as he releases the snap. That is 100% a designed run.

you play down and distance football and EXECUTE. slow down and contain run game and make us pass. football 101. will we use whole field running last last year? will we use whole field passing? unlike with miles? miami will make adjustments and play the averages as the game proceeds. they will build tendencies as game goes on. we have to use whole field, mix up plays on downs and use all players for all plays. if not we will give away tendencies and they will play those. THAT IS HOW. GOT IT??

And kudos to O for keeping the starting QB a secret

Secret from who? Literally no one with a brain thought the starting QB would be someone else.

everytime? no. screens yes, IF we block..........slants? incorrect. the DB could still be playing great man coverage.

you are aware this works both ways right?

Exactly. If installing a brand new offense was an advantage teams would do it every year. It is a disadvantage.
