He brings it on himself.
Pate used to feel more different than the typical college football media crowd, in a good way. But the longer his show goes, the more and more it lines up with everything else out there. More sensationalism and self-promotion over good content. There’s some level of forced alignment with his current home (now On3) no matter how much he wants to claim his independence. It’s watered down the product a bit, in my opinion.
He still has great access and news, but I much prefer the podcast version because it’s really easy to just skip past the bullshite.

If you really judge sports media types by what they get right or wrong then you’ll never be satisfied and are just waiting to hate. They’re never right, they know they’re never right, and they never expect to always be right. They guess. It’s the nature of the business and few do it better than Josh Pate. So he didn’t dick ride LSU. Who cares?

I like Pate, just the way he presents himself and thinks about things but he needs to be brought into the LSU fold.
LSBoosie, you are in charge of this. I’m not saying him being a Homer or anything, he just needs to be keeping the Tigers in his mind frame for being a top program.
