Good god no one “hates” Daniels, but he is a terrible downfield passer and is at the age and experience level where if he hasn’t gotten it by now, he’s not going to. So we go into next season handicapping our offense again.

Not really. Here he's guaranteed 3rd string. I'm sure there are a lot of programs where he would walk in as 2nd string and if the starter is an upperclassman he's 1 year from taking over.
