LM needs to bring in 2 highly recruited QB's and a QB coach

LM needs to fire either Crowton or Stud NOW (or both), and let Gonzo coach em up and see what he can do before next year

If not Gonzo, hire a OC/Head Coach type to take LM place in the amount of time he wants to go home or elsewhere (He knows when that time is)

LM needs to look around Utah, TCU, Boise, Houston, Oregon, NC State (a couple of good hires from within those very good schools)

LM has to tell Chavis how to scrap a def. plan and make adjustments to the defense when they are getting reamed (See Auburn game)

LM has to stay out of the Offensive plans (Totally)

LM better learn how to handle simple game ending clock issues

LM needs to play the best players (no exceptions)

LM should refuse interviews or learn how to speak from a set of pre-determined statements

LM needs to instill a toughness, determination, and a will to DOMINATE by his team

LM needs to put teams away and not be worried about his perception

LM needs to stand up for his players, school, and fans (See the PP interception..He stuck his tail between his legs..Also many other plays) Who cares about a fine from the SEC as his players would kick some arse if LM had a heart.

LM needs someone up in the both to see the play on video and help him challenge some plays when it is clear there was a wrong call made and could give LSU an advantage if the call is overturned.

LM needs to start answering questions with honesty and stop dodging them and using his ridiculous "Coach Speak"

LM needs to stop saying that he wil correct things when we still see the same shite

LM needs to finally correct the issues from above

LM needs to stop being conservative on Off & Def

LM needs to start JL and let him play and see what he does a whole game

LM needs to run the option or Wildcat with Shep

LM needs a new OC who is more pro style, however, throw in the Wildcat for 10 plays or maybe a series once in a while (With no Huddle). Imagine a pounding dominating team that throws that quick strike ability (You will demoralize your opponent)

LM needs to keep on recruiting like he has been

LM needs to keep being a stand-up guy, honest, and a trustful man

LM can do the above...He is the man and my opinion would change

+1

My opinion wouldn't change his clock management skills have spilled over into his CEO position. Whenever he firs crowton it was way overdue and not done in a timely fashion to correct a glaring problem. It's almost a catch 22 say he replaces him and a new OC comes in and LSU is a top 30 offense and all the problems are gone. I will say he waited too long while Miles supporters will revel about what a great hire he made and not question the time it took him to "fix" the problem.

with the hiring of a "proven" offensive coordinator at the end of this season? or atleast an up and coming offensive mind?

I'd have to see who the hire is and THE PRODUCT ON THE FIELD. To be frank, a "proven" offensive coordinator is going to get a little Miles tampering anyway......, so it'll be interesting to see what product is on the field with another OC. I have a feeling, it won't quite be what people think it will be.

Exactly. What does it matter if he hires a proven OC, if he is going to constantly change the calls? He needs to either call all of the plays or none of the plays and just oversee the program (and be involved in game planning). If you are going to hire an expensive OC (proven or not), then let them coach.

That's why I've been saying that whoever he hires must be compatible and have experience with running the type of offense Miles wants. No more of this Oil and Water offensive BS.........

Would have to see how things went next year. LSU has a boat load of talent coming back and to see it wasted again would really suck.

that's just it. In 08 it was the defense, he fixed the defense in 09.

then it was the offense in 09. It was horrible, like 112th? He should have fixed it then. Now it's just as bad with no improvement. Why can't he just get it together? What will be next? Special teams?

With something is so horrible in one third of your team and takes 2 or 3 years to fix, something is wrong with the charge man.

It wouldn't. Well, maybe it would if he goes with a co-head coach approach and the other HC is Jon Gruden. Oh, and LM stays home. Yeah, if that happens then my opinion would change.

Neither have done very well outside of LSU either. Maybe it's those coaches?

not necessarily. i dont think miles tampered last year and look what it got him. he kept crowton for whatever reason and i bet he rues that decision every game. he intervenes because of the shite results crowton has been getting and it may actually help. we have improved some. i don't think tampering is his style at all. making the final decisions on game plans, yes; calling the plays, no. i think we will see changes at years end. i like miles, but i like dinardo too. his decision to keep tepper ruined his career and if miles keeps crowton and stud, he'll be a goner also. after two straight years of not mediocre, not bad, but pitiful offenses keeping the OC and any other coach whose unit is failing is unacceptable.

No "proven" OC would want to work for Miles, work at LSU maybe but not for Miles.

1. Miles works in the game planning, but calls very few of the plays during the actual game. He let's his offensive coordinators do that for the most part. That part of the offense has been shitty for awhile.

2. Crowton had a very large contract for this season. I bet Miles didn't really have the option to fire a guy with a huge contract and spend the money needed to bring in a top guy. Since there was actually hope that the offense would improve I believe keeping Crowton for this year was his best option.

3. I don't hate Miles, but now I really don't care if he has to be replaced in the near future. I do think he is vastly underrated though and a coaching change could lead to a compete dud. Then we are in a truly bad position.
