How would you rank CEHs performance against Bama vs other LSU RB

This rivals Hester's '07 Florida game, IMO, it exceeds it.

Fournette, Kevin Faulk, Charles Alexander are consider LSU GOATs. But did they ever have a game like this of this kind of magnitude?

Has to. He simply willed his way to a lot of those first downs and TDs

The stats are great but not gaudy

But I can't remember a game where you could point to a better effort from an LSU RB.

He had some really tough runs that were just pure determination.

CEH was the more important performance given opponent, stakes, etc.

But I’ve never seen a more dominant and impressive RB performance than Fournette vs Auburn

Tops the Hester/UF game if we win it all IMO

Clyde was the best player on the field last night. He made big play after big play. His performance is better than any back I’ve seen in a big time game. My favorite performance before this one was Justin Vincent is the SEC championship game.

100% man. From my own gameday thread at SEC scoreboard:
quote:

Clyde just trumped Josh Reed & Jacob Hester for my favorite individual performance by an LSU athlete of all time.

That kid played out of his freaking mind & he deserves to be recognized. That clutch 3rd down where he scooped it out of the grass & then picked up 8 of the toughest sideline yards I’ve seen was arguably your play of the game.

I almost teared up watching him burying his head in the RB coach on the sidelines after the last TD.

CEH just cemented his place in the pantheon of LSU greats — After spending his entire career in the shadow of physically freakish RBs with many fans clamoring to see yet another two that are behind him on the depth chart this year.

I am so happy for that kid. These are exactly the kinds of stories that make following sports worthwhile.

Wow, I couldn't have said it better myself!

And I agree exactly with your okay of the game. To take that ball out of the grass and barrel through 4 Bama defenders along the sideline for that CRUCIAL 3rd down really was the play of the game.

As soon as he caught it, I was like ahh crap, and then followed quickly with OMG!

Even if he flames out the rest of the season and/or NFL (which I doubt, CEH=Sproles/Kamara hybrid), he's getting free lunches for life in BR.

Nothing that he did skill wise was worth more than the heart and drive he showed when we needed him to get those extra yards for a first down.

Hester was not nearly as talented as some of the top LSU backs we have had yet he is still considered a fan favorite for the same reason. Clyde sealed himself in tiger lore with this game.

He is the next generation “Hester” now imo. He should have lost a few battles and pushed through. That’s RB 101 shite that they teach you early. Drive them legs and boy did he.

That was the best I came up with. Hester didn't have the numbers, but he DID take over the game

The first play on offense was a game changer, the spin move he did to set up a 2nd and 1 vs 2nd and 11 really set the tone.

I'm more moved by his heart and motivation he brought to teammates, worth extra 100 yards right there!
