Blue needs to switch to wr. People over estimate how good he is. If he became the starter he would be exposed. The only time he did good was late in games when the d was tired and he would bust a long run in a wide open hole.. I love the guy as a player but he is definitely not our best rb

Why would you redshirt Magee and hill?

You shouldn't IMO.

There is also a little more in play when it comes to the running back situation this year and its effects on the future team.

We are after the running back fournette from st aug that is in the 2014 class. We don't want to appear to have a log jam of young running backs when the recruitment heats up for that class. It will be interesting to see the running back rotations/redshirt decisions the next couple of years.

I agree. To me he is the 4th guy. Hilliard, Ware, and Ford are all better.

Blue was easily the best RB who touched the ball last year

Why is that?

Sure he ran great against WKU and on teams late in the game during blowouts..

Really? look at all of his good runs and touchdowns.. They were mostly late in the game when ware/ford had worn down the defense and he ran through HUGE holes.. the last few games when he busted a few long runs any of the rbs could have made those.. shite on his touchdown against georgia the FB ran through the whole and went 20 yards up field and STILL couldnt find anyone to block..

He is good but he is not as good as people suggest

Go to the Wishbone with a new set of backs for every series.

Was more impressed with Hilliard than any other back last season.

why all the hate for ware at rb.he is clearly one of our best backs with hilliard and ford.

I can't speak for everyone but personally it isn't hate. He's just such a violent runner, it takes it's toll on him as well.

Around the mid-season point, he wasn't the same as he was at the beginning of the season. He's such a bruiser but at the same time, it leaves him dinged up too and he doesn't have much time to heal from week to week. It's just the way he runs, not a knock on the guy.

Hill looks as big as Copeland in the day 1 practice video. No way he redshirts.

I agree. Hill already looks ready. He's here early, and I doubt he sits if he is as good as advertised. I always thought he was the better recruit out of he and Hilliard, and if Hilliard was able to make that type of impact, I see no reason why Hill can't as well.

I saw that as well. And I agree.

If he hadn't gotten into trouble a little while back, he would be going into his (more than likely) RS sophomore year. It's my understanding that he didn't play at JUCO or anything, mainly because he had to deal with his mistake so he had to stay close to home.

I don't think he's played much since his mess up and is dying to get back out on the field. I really don't think he'd agree to being red shirted and have to sit out yet another year before he plays again. I really doubt he redshirts.

going in to last season he was the guy, hopefully with hilliard and ford stepping up they wont have wear him out like they did at the start of last season.but imo he is good at rb.

So let's say Hill doesn't red-shirt and Blue doesn't have the hands or route running to play WR. So how do you divide up around 35 carries per game amongst 6 runningbacks? I can see Hill coming in if both Hilliard and Ware are dinged up but what use is he if both are good to go? Magee is also developing into a bruiser type role as well. I can see Hill getting reps at fullback but we also have several who could back up that position as well.

I see hill at fullback much more than people anticipate. I see some wildcat with ware or Magee taking the snap. I see some major weekly competition with us see who the first guys to get a chance are. I think Magee has a breakout spring and makes this an even harder decision.

Magee taking a snap in the wildcat is still a carry unless he throws it. Divide the carries evenly and you get about 6 carries per back. Then you have Hilliard and Ware who can play some alternate fullback behind Copeland. I'd much rather see the carries divided by no more than 5 and hope one breaks out and leaves early for the draft.
