LSU didn't get in because of weak OOC road schedule.

This is some of the weakest BS being strewn on this board. Yes, the committee chairman stated this, but if LSU wins in conference, they're in the tournament. Conference record sucked and finished last in the West ... going out of state and taking 2/3 from Rice or Texas or UCLA was not going to change that.

St. Johns

LSU should have gotten in before st. Johns but they are a legit college baseball program.

We don't need to change our scheduling. We just need to win some fricking baseball games and learn to close games out.

How many 1 run games did we lose?

How many games did we lose in the 9th?

How many games did Gausman lose with no run support?

Again, we need to win games, we don't need to change our scheduling.

So 40 wins is needed to get LSU in tourney
LSU can't make schedule any more difficult, it would be that much harder to get to 40 wins

They took games away which makes it harder to schedule non conference

Legit and 1 win vs. RPI Top 50 teams doesnt belong in the same sentence.

The schedule has been set at 56 games for a while now.

I said PROGRAM. Historically they are a top 40 - 50 team year in and year out.

Historically they are a somewhat legit baseball program. That definitely doesn't mean they are a legitimate regional team this year though.

The only thing I'd change is the rule that eliminates LSU playing one team from the East for a two year run. Not playing SC this year hurt the Tigers' rpi, and we know that hurt their getting into the tournament, right?

Ok, for the purposes of discussion pretend we aren't talking about changing the schedule because of LSU getting in vs. getting in. Look at it as being awarded a national seed vs. not being awarded a national seed. It can make a difference there as well.

Play ULL, ULM, Southeastern, Tulane, and LA Tech and play them home and homes. Play Southern once.

I don't think we should travel to Tech or ULM any more than once every 4 or 5 years. I also wouldn't wipe the Southland completely off the schedule. But I do agree about the SWAC, we shouldn't be playing any SWAC team other than Southern.

shite, why not play South Al on a weekday, or Troy, or UAB. They're all better than SWAC schools and not that far away.

Northeast teams get a natural advantage for not being able to play home games at the start of the season.
