Miles has the 7th best win % in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history.
He reached those great numbers while coaching during the most successful era of SEC football ever.
Charlie Mac doesnt come close to miles.
Miles has more top 20,top 15, top 10n and top 5 finishes than any coach in lsu history.
Miles has a better overall win% and a far better in conf win% and more conf titles.

And 1....I repeat 1 (2-loss) NC to his name. Are you gonna tell me that in all the time hes been here, we've only fielded one team capable of winning it all? Too bad the 11 team existed when Bama fielded arguably one of its best teams ever....and our program hasnt been the same since.

It's no joke. You must think lsu doesn't have the talent as other teams in the west . I say they do and (with proper coaching) they should win the west going away. The sec west will be down this year. A perfect spot for lsu is THISYEAR. Zero reason they lose yo bama or ole miss it Arkie. Except a Miles screw-up.

I agree on paper, things look great. But I have a feeling this is gonna be a gut-wrenching-remote-throwing-nailbiting-cuss-miles-to-your-blue-in-the-face-ball-bustin-ugly-shitshow every single game....and thats if were lucky.

I didnt say it did. I was pointing out that 1 team out of 126 has the ability to not have down years.
Even top 5 alltime programs have down years.

Nah, undefeated plz. 11-1 at worst with the talent this team has. I'm not gonna get my hopes up but we have too much to work with to not get it done this year.

I am too as far as sure upgrade. And there are only five or six guys who qualify IMHO. Otherwise I'd rather have Miles than an unknown. Past unknown elements (Archer, Hallman) did not pan out so well. And if Miles must go I will thank him for his time and be as grateful as I am of Saban and what he did for our program. He has earned a lot of respect from what he has done through the years.
But, a program must move forward and reach its goals. And yet it must not regress. Not doing a sure upgrade is risky and can do worst than become static.
