11 of the players you named didn't even play 2 of em didn't play and ended up at another position 1 of those on the other side of the ball and Kendrick Allen had upside but could barely stay on the field he was so bad. Couple that with horrible corners and a bad oline and there's Noway this was one of our best teams. You must not know your history pal.

There you go again lying. Lsu won a natty I loved it. I only pointed out that Saban recruited most of the players who played in that game giving credit to someone does not equal shitting on the teams accomplishment but to ppl like you unless I'm blowing miles whatever the team acheives doesn't matter. Another pumper habit.

Agreed. Its almost unheard of to hire 3 really successful head coaches in a row. That coupled with me having no confidence in Alleva to make a good hire makes me worry about Miles leaving for an unknown.
Who cares? If he fails to win the division this year then he needs to go. There are many guys to choose from and recruiting in Louisiana has become almost exclusively pick and choose since Saban established the foundation at the turn of the century.
Les Miles is a great recruiter, but if that's all we are getting out of him 11-12 years into his tenure, then it's time to find a coach that can push us over this hill over average acceptance.
I know you'll spout your LSU records and winnings percentage, yada, yada, yada, but the fact is that we've lost at least 3 games a year the past 4 years. We've finished at best 3rd in our own division and 5th in the conference the past 3 years. The last two years we've been 4th or worse in our own division. We're on a 5 game losing streak to Alabama.
To have one of the highest, if not highest, paid CFB staffs, a loaded state of high school recuits with no legit instate rival to challenge from, pipelines to Florida and Texas for top recruits, and the "most successful head coach in school history", we should not be looking at 9-3 and 8-4 seasons for 3 straight years.
ETA:
Throwing the checkbook at Tom Herman next year should be our first option if Miles fails to win the division. Young guy that can draw every last bit of potential out of our QBs and offensive talent in general. It would continue our pipeline in E. Texas and he can point to Ohio State, Houston, and every other place he's been, that he can make the offense go immediately. Dave Aranda isn't in the Miles clause and at 1.4-5 mill, it takes him out the running for low tier head coaching gigs. So we'd have the offense and defense set.

Says the guy calling webster, daniels, gay, james, and clark horrible corners. Say what you but 2000 & 2001 lsu was absolutely loaded with talent and llrd saban lost 7 games.
2001 lsu is one of the most talented rosters in lsu history. Thats a fact.

Are you fricking kidding?
Rohan davey is top 5 alltime qb
Reed is the best wr in lsu history.
Bradie james is a top 5 alltime mlb
Bradie James, Trev Faulk, and lionel Turner may be the best lb corp ik lsu history.
Addai, Toefield and Davis is one of the best rb corps in lsu history.
Michael Clayton,Josh reed, and Devery Henderson is one of the best wr cotps in lsu history.
The 2001 lsu team had more nfl talent than any lsu team besides 2006 & 2011. These are facts.
quote:so you dont count freshman under saban but yet blast Miles for 2014 and having our entire offense full of true freshman and redshirt freshman.
11 of the players you named didn't even play 2 of em didn't play
Just face it. Saban walked into a program littered with future nfl players and some of the best players, at their positions, to ever wear P&G. He then went on to lose 12 games in 3 years. You yourself have said we have always had talent so why did such a great coach(saban) lose more than such an average coach ( miles).
Look you just need to realize that facts prove Miles is a good coach and get over it. One day youll have to let everyone know how the most successful tenure in lsu history is underachieving?
How is the most top 25, top 20,top 15, top 10, top 5 finishes, and the most title game appearances in lsu history , underachieving. How can you be the most successful coach in a program's history amd have these football ignorant people say youve underachieved?
Do you live in a fantasy world where Miles doesnt have the best tenure in lsu history?
If he doesnt win the west this year then its time for him to go but how about you stop shitting on lsu and its past accomplishments until he fails?
You need to realize that stating facts isnt defending, pumping, or blowing Miles. Its reality. Stop acting like reality is somehow stretching truths to back a coach because i was adamantly in favor of firing Miles if we were getting Jimbo( a sure upgrade). There isnt a major football program in cfb that shits on its most successful coach ,except lsu.

Agreed.
Herman would be a great hire in theory. But,most of the great up and comers fail at their 1st major program.
I just dont like the spread. Id be ok with Herman's smashmouth spread though. Honestly, if he produced i would get over my disdain for the spread.

Les the credit he deserves and admit they were wrong?
We weren't wrong, there were fundamental flaws in the way Miles was doing business. This offseason has seen a dramatic shift. He hired coaches with no personal connection and is implementing new schemes. Miles is a fantastic CEO Head Coach and recruiter, it's his game day and Xs and Os that he is lacking. If he has finally relinquished control to his coordinators specifically on offense to Cam and Dameyune, then we got a shot. If we do win the NC Miles deserves all the credit. Just like he earned all the credit for 2011. That team was incredible and he put it together.

Its like talking to a fricking child.
2001 was littered with veteran and young talent and lord saban lost 3 games. 2014 miles had only young talent and lost 5. You only shite on 2014.
You can say what you want but Saban's first 3 years his teams were stacked with nfl talent and he lost 12 games. Thats a fact dumbass.

If he doesnt win the the National title Miles should be fired... This is a loaded team with the best player in the country and they are all experienced outstanding athletes that were highly recruited.. he could have 6-7 first rounders next season... If he doesnt win the damn national title he should be fired on spot...they havent been this loaded in a long time... Its on the offense now.. Defense will be very good. If you cant score with 4-5 OL returning, all RB/WRs and TEs coming back well, you suck donkey nuts...
Posted on 4/29/16 at 2:16 pm to Solo Cam
Hell no. We are projected to have 7 1st round picks in the 2017 draft. The only thing acceptable is winning the west, winning the conference and going to the playoff at minimum. If not this year, when?

As long as we win the west
Which means, in all likelihood, we would have beaten Bama along the way. This would satisfy a lot of Miles naysayers.
