Are we really comparing the cost of attending a live game at the box to the cost of streaming a game over your phone then casting as if they are apples to apples?

$30 might seem steep for a burger and fries, but its much cheaper than getting a steak au poive and a glass of cab at the local steak house

watch the on my 60" Samsung TV by saying into the remote control, "LSU baseball."

I can totally admit im the idiot problem here.... maybe I'll try that next SECN+ game cause right now I have to open the espn app and either search or scroll for it.

My overall point though is how many eyes could we get on college baseball if we has this somewhere on a betwork... maybe espn U, espn 2 SECN? How many people would scroll and say...hmmm #1 LSU v notre dame.... yea I'll tune into that...versus how many are going to pay $30 to screen cast.

Its not JUST about the $30 its about that format being a net negative in a sport trying to grow

Every single game being broadcast in some format and you’re worried about the growth of the game? College baseball is more accessible and cheaper to access than Major League Baseball currentky

I know people love to rip on Kendall but the work he’s done for the sport to help its visibility and growth is undeniable

I hope no one is paying for this bs. I’m not going out of my way to try and figure this shite out for 29
Fricking dollars. Lsu can screw themselves this weekend for putting their fanbase though so much shite.

I’m really not sure why you keep comparing the cost of watching a game on tv to having a ticket to the game. You’ve done it multiple times.

Because I'm sick of seeing all the posts bitching about the "exorbitant" $30 cost for the 3 LSU games this weekend.

The cost is reasonable.

Why can’t Espn+ carry these games like all other 53 games?

ESPN hasn’t shown a lot of college baseball so far this season.

What are you talking about? I have watched every single game of the season except this tournament on Espn+

So you would be fine with paying $10 every time you wanted to watch a sporting event on tv?

But even then, your comparison is dumb and doesn’t make much sense. There are plenty of points you can make, but comparing the cost of watching a game on tv to the cost of buying a ticket to go to the game isn’t a very good one.

Strawman argument. And dumb.

But if paying $10 to get to watch every away game was my only choice to see the Tigers play, then sure, I'd gladly pay it. And I wouldn't bitch about it.

I’ve been listening to the games on the radio and recalling just how much I enjoy doing that while being productive around the house instead of sitting on my dead arse on the couch, staring at the TV.

In the past when you couldn’t get all of the games on a stream or TV I would listen to the games and and do maintenance things around the house while the weather was nice.

I’m really enjoying it. I think I’ll be doing much more of that going forward.

You seem skeptical.

So, do the math if you're capable.

I pay $2,350 for two season tickets including the required "donation" to TAF for the privilege of buying the tickets and the $75 "processing fee" for the tickets.

LSU plays 37 home regular season home games this year.

That comes to $31.75 per ticket per game.

Paying $5/person (my wife watches the games with me) to get to watch away games on TV is a bargain that I would gladly pay.

If you'd refuse to do that it's okay with me.

I’m not skeptical of what you pay for your season tickets. I don’t really care. I am skeptical of you saying you would “gladly” pay $560 per year just to have access to LSU’s regular season baseball games on tv. I legitimately have no clue why you would be happy about that.

Again, comparing the cost of watching a game on tv to the cost of a ticket to a game is just a really dumb comparison.

LSU doesn’t play 56 road games. He goes to all the home games. We’re playing 18 games away from home in the regular season. That’s $180, not $560. If he already pays three grand to go to all the home games, $180 isn’t that much. It’s $45/month
