Brosette was the worst starting running back LSU has had since 1994.
Man, a lot of hate for Brossette on here. Local kid who chose to stay at LSU and sit behind some superstars. Waited his turn, and helped revive the LSU offense with over 1,000 yards rushing and 14 TDs. Could have transferred, could have left after his brother passed away or after the fumbling issues but he stuck it out and had a great Sr. Year.
It’s no question who’s better between the two. Clyde is a special talent, 1st round pick, and was a huge part of possibly the greatest offense in CFB history. He was also more equipped for this style of offense than Brossette. But Brossette became a very good player and more than likely would have started at many other big time programs. To act like he was awful when he rushed for 1,000 yards and double digit touchdowns on a 10-3 NYD Bowl winning team, in the toughest conference in CFB is absurd. I just feel like you don’t need to shite on one when comparing the two.

ow let’s say Nick Brossette redshirts in 2015 and comes back as a 5th year senior in 2019. He likely has as big, if not bigger role than CEH this year. He almost surely gets drafted in the 4th round or higher instead of being an UDFA and CEH doesn’t go nearly as high.
This is where you are wrong...Brossette (to Me) coming out of high school i thought was slow and didnt have the IT Factor..flat out just wasnt impressed with him....just never looked like a solid RB to me and thought he would never start at LSU (i was wrong on this)and yes it didnt help that we just witnessed arguably the best two RBs back to back come out of LSU....I always thought CEH had it all and never understood why he wasnt starting over Broussette in 2018....CEH could do it all very well...
i do believe yes Brossette would of benefited from the new offense but no way he would of ever made the impact CEH made this year

I remember Derrius Guice, in his last season at LSU, stating that he (Guice) was the most hated guy on the team. His reasoning was that since he had already locked up the starting position, CEH was getting most of the practice carries against the defense. I didn’t think much of it at the time, other than him throwing some praise at his teammate.

Couldn’t catch out of the backfield as good CEH, never fast enough or as quick laterally as CEH, wish he would’ve got a ring, loved him as a TIGAH but still wouldn’t have gone any higher than a UFA ring or no ring.

When brossette played ball at u high they were a 2 A team...he was a giant playing aganist most teams in their league...he was strictly a slow north south upright runner and never really progressed much while at LSU...he did have a good senior season but he was just an average back....he would have done well at southeastern but he was not what I would consider an SEC running back
I've heard he is a great kid but he will always be remembered as the guy who fumbled aganist troy...though whoever had him in the ball game with the ball on the five yard line is the really problem...

It was quite obvious this year that CEH is an every down NFL back. He can do it all. He was a difference maker in our biggest games as well. MVP of the BAMA game
I like brossette, but CEH was just better all around

Doesn't even compare...……..

He was lucky to be on this all time great team because he’s a pretty average back. I don’t think he’s any better than Darrel Williams.
The Kansas City Chiefs, who presumably know more than theWalrus, disagree.

Nick Brossette was a solid RB that had a solid season in an offense that fit his style of running, so, it's good that he played in the final season of that type of an offense. I'm not sure how he would have fared in Brady's type of offense, it was tailor made for CEH who exploded in it. Brossette, probably not as much as he was a slower RB, and Brady's offense was all about speed and quickness in getting plays off to catch defenses off guard. So, I don't agree with you in saying that he should have redshirted in 2015 so's he can play in the 2019 Brady offense.

This is one of the worst takes ever.
Nick was a good kid. He cant carry CEH’s jock.
Get outta here with this garbage post.

Its not shitting on Brossette to say he is NOWHERE close to CEH’s level.
Even in Brossette’s last year CEH was better - he bust the Georgia game wide open, which was one of our best wins in 2018.

Totally stupids lost. Nick is a great guy and had a good LSU career. Clyde is a freak of nature and one the best RB’s in LSU history.

Only one of them is an NFL talent
