I was just curious….LSU has already claimed the SEC Championship outright…they know they are in the tourney…..they know they get a first bye in the SEC Tourney…..on the flip side Auburn is playing for their very slim chances of possibly getting in the NCAA tournament (yes I know it is a long shot)…….I really don’t know how it will play out this weekend….I just hope it is as good of a game as the one here in Baton Rouge a few weeks ago between these two teams…

Auburn has won 7 out of their last 8 games and most of those wins were by double digits. LSU coming out fired up is their only chance of even keeping the game close.

If LSU does not come out fired up, Auburn will also beat them by double digits

LSU was lucky to beat Auburn in Baton Rouge. You are a delusional idiot if you think LSU is going to have an easy time winning in Auburn

You said that LSU was going to come out fired up and Auburn was going to pay for it. That statement would indicate that you think LSU was going to have a relatively easy time winning.

I never said that Auburn was going to beat LSU by 10 points. I said that coming out fired up was LSU's only chance of keeping the game close.

Auburn has been playing as well as any team in the SEC over the last 3 or 4 weeks. If you think LSU can play a subpar game and even keep the game close, then you are going to be in for a rude awakening on Saturday

I could see both AU & Vandy making a late run to push for an NCAA bid....I hope LSU hasn't put into coast mode. They better be ready to play or AU will win.

Even before the Vandy game I felt like the Auburn game would be a very tough one for LSU. It's not so much that LSU is coasting as that Auburn is hungrier to get the win, to go 10-6 in the league and maybe get to the NCAA tourney.

Coach Johnson has always said that his team has a slim margin of error for victory. LSU's mental toughness has come through in all but the last game; however, college basketball, like football, is fed off emotions.

The Auburn gym will be rocking, for sure. But, LSU also feeds off the crowd, even at away games.

Regardless of what happens at Auburn and the NCAA tourney, LSU will be a very dangerous team to play in the NCAA tourney. I still see us as a Sweet 16 team once tournament week comes. All the dynamics change once you get out of conference play.

Before last night, I thought the Auburn game would be the one LSU would drop. Now that they lost to Vandy, the team will have a different mindset. The sr. leadership for LSU is going to push them to a win. They know what's at stake. Losing the last two games of the regular season combined with a probable lose at some point in the SEC tournament would kill LSU's seeding in the NCAA tourny. I think LSU wins at Auburn, but it certainly won't be an easy game.

CC, so you think that because Auburn has won 7 or their last 8, it automatically means that "the game will not be close" unless LSU comes in "fired up?"
What about LSU winning 10 of their last 11? Or does that count?
We've beaten Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Miss.State, and Vandy on the road. Why would we "not even keep it close" on the road at Auburn as well?
