Borrow will need to net + yards with his feet on broken down plays, line and TE needs to block (Moreau was dogshit in this capacity)
D just needs to wrap up and tackle better, stay disciplined, quit with the stupid penalties, i.e. offside, late hit

First, Bama did not have "far more talent" than we did in '00.
Second, Bama now has Saban. As long as he's there, I don't see their recruiting falling off the cliff. IOW, we have to figure out another way beyond simply trying to out recruit them at OL/DL.

Not sure how this thread ended up getting 143 responses but I think it shows no one really believes LSU will beat Bama this year.

I tend to believe that with all the players Bama lost to the NFL this year, LSU has a better than average chance this year. Yeah, I know Bama reloads, but experience accounts for some of the talent gap. LSU returns an arse bunch this year including K,Lavon. Our defense may have to score all the points but it is possible
