How should LSU allocate tickets?

This has to be a nightmare for the ticket office. I'm sure they hope that everyone ops out for the year, then they can put tickets on sale every Monday before a game. Who knows what JBE and the state of LA will allow on a week to week basis 2 months from now.

Lets say 25% of the season ticket holders opt out. Assume week 1 there can be only 50k people in the stands. Hopefully the SEC reduces the number of away team allocation. The student section allocation can be reduced, and I'm sure the band won't be at full strength.

How should the rest be handled? Based in priority points? Some fans get 3 games, others 2 games? Ticket holders are given the option to get all 5 games if they reduce the number of tickets to each game (instead of your usual 4 tickets, you get 2).

I’m thinking they’ll follow the method they used for playoff and championship tickets.

We got 2 for those — have five season tickets. Not sure what we’ll do — I want to know for one thing what happens if we say yes to tickets and then the season is cut short due to sick players??

Have other questions as well.

There won’t be football this season. Probably better to come to terms with that now than in mid-September.

It’s why they want to figure out the opt outs before they have to decide
Makes their decision easier

So, just like every other LSU home opener of the past decade?

Seriously though, there's no chance 50k people will be in Tiger Stadium in 2 months.

Students should be priority for tickets not reduced. I cant imagine going to LSU and not attending games.

Leave before end and go back to bottom of priority list.

Reality check:
Politicians will be first.
Suite holders next.
It is unfair to make a ticket holder opt in without knowing they can attend the game but that seems to be the policy. So, if I opt in but am excluded I do not receive a refund.

I'm sure the Suites will be exempt from the 50% capacity rules.

I've been trying to figure out how they would handle this myself, but I'm sure they won't be completely "exempt" from everything.....
