Better think of improving their respective games...
That is the nature of a competitive society. May the best man/team win, fair and square, of course.

Seriously, neither of these boys are NFL material, and I think they know that by now. They are going to do the best they can and get their degree. In return for their loyalty and being classy about things (should such happen), there will be alumni connections that will help them once they get out of school. Jamie Howard handled things pretty classy and he wound up doing quite well for himself after all was said and done.

I would hope they both feel the same, that there is no way I'm going to let some first-year guy come in and beat me out for playing time. If they don't have at least that much confidence in themselves they shouldn't be playing. They don't own the LSU QB position, they have just been temporary custodians, and not too good of custodians.

I imagine they are thinking they won't lose their job to a guy right out of JUCO. At least I hope they think this way.

I should have read poodles post before hitting reply....he nailed it!

Maybe we should allow this kid to actually take a snap in Div. I football before proclaiming him the savior of LSU Football.

As long as Crowton's here, we will struggle on offense.

I do believe we need some better QB play,

And quality QBs are hard to come for, so I do expect him to compete.

However, as I stated earlier, he was not even going to start at a mediocre GA team, although Murray appears to be legit......so I dont know why everyone is crowning him the second coming now.

I hope that it really is the inferior QB play. Maybe serviceable QBing will make Crowton less suckass.

I'm sure they don't feel great about it but they each had ample number of chances to earn the starting job outright and neither took advantage of the opportunity. I don't think they have too much to cry about. They should try their butts off in hopes of winning the job again. And if they don't then they need to be ready to step in if needed.
