Who said anything about fans. D coaches ALWAYS want to slow down the offense. It is in their DNA.

I've ra'd less than 5 posts in my life. Had to pull the trigger on this OP though.

I can’t wait until this Joe Burrow swimfan goes on some pro team’s message board.

Absolutely NOTHING against Aranda. The "slow down the offense" battle between the O & D coaches is as old as the game of football.

Does it? Where are you getting such “appearances”?

Oh look...our resident tourist is upset that Burrow's gaudy stats may be altered a bit by mixing in a bit more running game.

Honestly...do you ever quit? We've obviously gone all in with the Burrow for Heisman campaign as a staff and you're STILL mad and pointing fingers at everyone else in the program that could somehow slightly alter you guy's stat sheet?

I hope it's obvious to everyone now that this guy has ZERO interest in LSU and is only interested in Burrow.

Defensive problems has nothing to do with offense. Teams like Vandy and NWS go through LSU defense easily on their first offensive possessions.

Last time I checked the Saints like to have success running the ball. I don't see why Brady wouldn't want the same thing at LSU.

It’s comical the amount of dipshits that think running the ball is the only way to control the clock in football.

Yeah Fournette, TM7, and PP7 never got this kind of PR push. I don't know if we just weren't good at it or if burrow just has the personality to captivate people, but it's cool to see LSU go all out blitz on his media campaign. It's what you have to do nowadays for the Heisman.

You don't think there is an effort to change the offense to add more run plays. And change the blocking schemes to facilitate more rushing? Really?

Dave hasn't said anything about slowing the offense down.

We remained very fast.

With BUrrow in the game we had drive of:
1:13 minutes
0:11
1:56
1:15
3:02
2:11
0:49
3:56
0:55
1:56

And the 4 minute drive was 11 plays which is about 20 second per play.

And the biggest hit on Joe i can think of was either an RPO or PA because the RB was going the opposite way from the edge the passrusher came from.

If you mean do I think they are trying to see if they can run the ball because they need to, then yes.

I think Brady is having the time of his coaching life. Hopefully O won't influence the offense but will lean on the defense to step up.
Relative to (Saban) the offers for Brady, there's Woodward in the background with the $$$ if needed.
Looking forward to seeing the spread formations and motion to set up the run.

I haven't had a chance to see the game again. Who was the RB on that play?

It will still be important to control clock against Fla, Auburn and Bama.
that's an assumption, maybe a bad one.

IF we control the scoreboard, we don't need no frigging clock.

That will be an in-game flow type of decision. IF not scoring handily, before going there, priorities #1 - #5 will be to tweak the offense as it to score more.
