It was sooo frustrating.

And way to much emotion, I try to convince myself to chill but I cant.

Probably a bit too much, or that's what the wife says.

Disclaimer: I pretty much put all my eggs in one basket with LSU Sports and everything else is casual interest at best.
Of course I love the Saints, but only LSU losses bring on puppy kicking physical nausea.

A lot less than I used to. Also depends on how much liquor I have in me.

Not as much emotion as I used to.
Prior to 2003's Natty year, a whole lot.
Once we won in 2003, I felt like LSU paid off their fandom debt to me.
1-9-12 was devastating, and a reality check.
Now I just have fun with it and don't take it so seriously.
Sure I scream at the TV for good and bad, and cheer like everyone else, But the actual W-L doesn't bother me as much. Basically, I enjoy every moment now rather than the W-L numbers.

I get emotional involved for the 3 hours or so around game time, outside of that nothing really.

1/9 was the worst loss I've experienced because after that loss, there's no "next week's game" to look forward to. It's all you hear about for the next 8-9 months. To this day, thinking about that game still makes me mad.

This year- completely sick of disciphering some foreign language to try and hold on to some morsel of a lie about what we will or will not see. I hate it but I'm done with miles. I'll show up Saturday and cheer like hell every week but I have waaay too much to do other than try to figure out his foolishness

Damn dude.......You are full of the butt-hurt aren't you. Les is great because of who he is & he acts/talks.....He doesn't owe you, me or anyone except his players/coaches any explanations.....Has he made mistakes.....absolutely but so has Saban, Meyer, Jimbo & pretty much any coach who's worth a damn...

Good for you, wish I could show up every week myself!!

I used to invest a hell of a lot emotionally into games...if we lost, I'd be pissed for a week...

that all changed on 1/9...while walking from the dome to my hotel, I decided that I would never let a sporting event make me feel like that again...

This describes me exact. That walk to the hotel after the game (well after TRich scored that TD) was so awful.

I'm in training class and there is a conversation going on about 1/9. They're arguing back and forth and it's still the same arguments from all those years ago.

Useless banter and not the 1st time LSU laid an egg (UAB).

Can't really hang the L on any one player which is so common on here.
The offense came out flat and OL got collective azz handed to them by one of the GOAT Ds.

Quite a bit

Had a GF break up with me after she watched a game with me once. She said it was just to much to put up and I needed to grow up. Really couldn't argue with her.

I used to sulk for the rest of the weekend.

Now I get disappointed but it doesn't affect my mood for the rest of the weekend or even the night for that matter.

As you get older, you start to understand what's most important in life.

With that said, after a loss, I stay away from sports radio and TD for that week.

This. Twice last season my wife had to get the dog and leave to go to her sisters because I was in such an exuberant rage. We've talked about this a lot and I'm going to work to cut down on that this year, even if it means walking away from the game. She has a "code word" to use if she feels it's starting to get out of control and I don't recognize it.
