I don't like you. Your post is shite and so are you. Do not come in here with this bullshite so early in the fricking morning, a-hole.

You fellas know how to make a guy feel welcome here.

Not as much emotion as I used to.
Prior to 2003's Natty year, a whole lot.
Once we won in 2003, I felt like LSU paid off their fandom debt to me.
1-9-12 was devastating, and a reality check.
Now I just have fun with it and don't take it so seriously.
Sure I scream at the TV for good and bad, and cheer like everyone else, But the actual W-L doesn't bother me as much. Basically, I enjoy every moment now rather than the W-L numbers.

Now I know you're a troll. You got me. Good job.

Not a troll, a new account. Lurker for years, but could never sign up with a gmail account.

I just disagree with you, that's all.
In the end, we're both tiger fans. :drunkards:

I really do wish BH would be the next ZM or Jamarcus Russell. Polling recent history I'm starting to think BH will be the JLee to AJ's Jordan Jeffereson. I honestly think that we'll see AJ platoon in with the jumbo's on 3'd and goal and short yardage... even IF BH is having a Jamarcus like season.

It's a fact that it's been stated that Harris has distanced himself. I'm not sure you understand how facts work.

He wasn't named the starter for any game even after AJ was arrested. Just reading between the lines here. This says something unless you believe that Miles is playing poker with our SEC opponents.

quote:

Naming a starter offers no competitive advantage, at all. It's actually very encouraging that he's talked about Harris so much, it implies Harris may be forcing his hand a bit through what practice observers are going to say anyway.

Here's where I disagree. Naming a starter offers no competitive disadvantage unless you're planning on doing something unorthodox. Otherwise, why ever name a starter? I think we're going to see something unorthodox this season.

quote:

This couldn't be more off base. Miles simply doesn't believe in giving out information to make you feel better. He would withhold what color cleats the team will wear if he thought they made the players a little faster.

Exactly. He's bluffing a weak hand. He has to live up to his "Mad Hatter" persona. The real bluff would be to say Jennings is the starter, has never thrown an incomplete pass in practice and runs a 4.2 40 pulling a tire.

The idea that Miles is intelligently playing the fans and the media is a joke.

quote:

Why would you expect to see Jennings in 3rd down when he's a significantly worse passer? And short yardage? Huh? It's not like Jennings is a big guy.

Good question! I think that in 3'd and short or goalline situations. I think he is a better option-style QB than BH. I know he isn't popular but he does have a lot more SEC gametime experience than BH. AJ is totally viable in situations he isn't required to throw the rock simply because of his experience and larger size.

If Harris performs well he starts every game. I do wish les would officially name his starter.

No. I don't think so. I think we'll see a lot of AJ regardless of BH's performance.
quote:

wow...what a bold fricking statement. way to go out on a limb there Ms. Cleo. can you name the last LSU starter to take every snap of every game?

Zach Mettenberger like. Of course there were blowouts where we saw his backup, but by and large he was the guy.
quote:

The notion that Jennings is "Les's guy" has been thoroughly debunked. And now that Les named him the clear leader you and people like you look like dumbasses.

Just take your lumps and be better in the future

AJ isn't "Les's Guy", but BH isn't "Les's Guy" either. BH isn't Mettenburger. He won't see Mettenburger reps or stats. Everyone here wants 1QB and we just won't get that this year.

Les Miles: "Brandon Harris is certainly the leader at this point" #LSU

True, but the season starts next week, and while he's the "leader" he's not deemed "the starter".

Sure, he'll trot out on the field first, take probably the first series as a reward for not getting arrested this summer.

If he were "our guy" there would be no question. I can guarantee you that he won't see every snap from the QB position in every game this year.

Prepare yourselves for a 2QB system

Les isn't naming a starter because they're both going to be starters.

It's a stated fact that neither QB has really distanced themselves from the other.

Sure, Harris may get more reps with the first team, but I can guarantee you that AJ will be in on 3'd downs and special short yardage situations.

The reason he hasn't named a QB is twofold. One, because they're both going to be playing every game. and Two, he thinks he's bluffing a weak hand.

If Harris was a prodigy, and we had 4 NFL receivers and 2 Heisman RB's on Offense, he would simply name Harris the starter and tell other SEC Defenses - "Good luck stopping us".

All signs point to QB play being average this year. Get ready for another maddening season where QB talk floods the board with morons like me.

As a side note. Can we get a season long sticky thread just for the QB position? Getting kind of tired of every tom dick and harry like me chiming in with their 2 cents every 10 minutes.

This. I mean, damn. Legends, Jeff St Pup, Morvants and Max's all wipe the floor with 5 Guys burgers.

Do they still allow smoking in Max's? I haven't been in years but that's kind of what keeps it off my list.

The rest of them aren't in my "lunch" range, but I'm gonna have to give them a shot.

Coyote blues has gone to the birds. They still have the best fajita meat in town. Their tortillas are a joke - store bought would be better. Also their chips and salsa suck. Worst app chips ever. Fantastic margaritas though.

Mayas on the thruway - they've cut costs and food quality has gone down a lot over the past few years.

Neither of those places would make it a week in Houston.

Fat Pats - quit eating there 5 years ago. Bun and dressings for their burgers are the best, the meat is a over done hocky puck that's inedible. Fries suck.

Pass in front of Smitty's wings almost daily. Never have the urge to stop in. Horrible name, even worse location. Looks like they're at least trying, and they seem to have cleaned up the property a ton.

Best burger/fries in town is 5 guys, I'm real sorry to say that. It's a chain I know... Southside/Twins's patty sucks but has great bun. Judice Inn is just a grease ball and has no sides. If I'm at a restaurant, I'm not ordering a burger, so I really can't rate other places.
Preseason? Almost every year since 2003.
I only began to believe it in 2003 and 2011 about the 2nd or 3d game.
You can't win anything without defense, and the defense those years were super special.

I'm not getting that vibe about this years defense yet. Will see how they gel in the first 3 games.
