He has a job

I’m sure he wants LSU football to be successful

I’d like to know how much he donates and ill consider donating an equivalent percentage of my salary.

I highly doubt that coaches of the school can donate, I'm sure that would be considered conflict of interest

I’m sure this is some cute gotcha but NIL can’t come directly from Kelly or LSU.

Just keep complaining on here or accept where college football is.

I can donate 10 / month if it potentially increases my enjoyment of a sport I spend entirely too much mental energy on.

I believe you've suffered some brain damage from trying to check too many knuckles.

Everything is allowed now.

Players can receive cash for transfers

BK could easily use a third party for his NIL payments

Y’all are naive to say this would be ‘illegal’ lololololol

further proof that you're uneducated on the subject matter and have no clue about the rules of NIL

They were allowed to do so until recently.

Who can donate to NIL and what can be stipulated? Can I pick a specific team or player to support?
The only people who cannot currently donate to NIL opportunities are coaches and athletic administrators. Fans and boosters can donate through collectives or agencies and can get very specific in where they want their money targeted.

quote:

Institutions cannot donate cash to Collectives, regardless of whether the Institutions earmark the funds for specific sports or student athletes. Although this prohibition does not expressly extend to, for example, Institutional coaches, the NCAA's announcement of the New Guidance states unequivocally that coaches "cannot donate cash directly to" Collectives.

It would be against the rules, and also could very much be illegal. Various states, including Louisiana, have statutes governing who can contribute to these things and what strings can be attached, etc.

Not to mention what the IRS or SEC would have to say about shell companies and funneling money through them.

The actual source it should be coming from. LSU is top 7 in fb revenue in the country but they can’t be the one to pay. Checks out.

He did donate 1 million to TAF to help build a training and recovery facility for student athletes. Go ahead and donate 10 percent of your yearly to LSU.

He also turned down his performance based bonus 400K last season and told LSU to reinvest it into the program.

Yeah, I would say Kelly does pretty good job where he legally can to reinvest into the football program.

Proof.
