Seems like one of those would have been a lock for the rotation this year

I'm not so sure about that. I think they both had the potential to be, but we haven't seen enough for either guy to assume that.

Having said that, if one of them would have taken that next step from before their injury, we'd be in great shape.

Well Nola has given us three solid years - no one solid year and two legendary ones.

LaMarche hadn't done that, and should have stayed, given out pitching situation.

But if we don't at least win a game in Omaha, Nola should come back. You play for championships.

this makes no sense and is contradictory by itself

Yeah, you're right, time to get off the fence.

You play for championships, and you don't leave until you win one or run out of eligibility.

The guys that left after 2011, and let 1/9 be their last game in an LSU uniform, to me, showed a real lack of heart and pride.

You just do not willingly let that kind of failure be the end of your Tiger career.

You should stop being a fan of college sports, for everyone's sake.

I should stop being a fan of a sport because I believe in its core values - hard work, pride, and WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS? Okay.

Just shut up. He got paid, he's a fireballer without a great secondary pitch and spotty command.

Either you're trolling or you're Hodor.

Yeah I'm sure you would turn down a million dollar payday if you were in his shoes.

If you think I'm stupid that's fine. But I'm not a troll - these are my views.

You stay until you either win it all or run out of eligibility.

Tell me this - could you really have given three tough years to LSU football, bled P&G, and have willingly walked away with 1/9 having been your last game? I know I couldn't have. I would have been studying film and training the next fricking day.

On the off chance you're serious, Alabama shut out LSU 21-0 in the BCSNCG to end their perfect season. It was the worst loss in program history, and some players let it be their last game when they could have come back.
