20 usually did the trick. Interesting to see if that still does the trick after expansion.

Why? They're still playing 30 games.

30-0 should do it.

This next weekend will tell whether State is a contender or pretender. They have played about the weakest OOC schedule and have soaked up wins but very little RPI points.

Related question. What is LSU's SOS & RPI?

It seems every year this team beats the cupcakes then will struggle some when SEC play starts? So have we been playing total cupcakes or is our schedule a little better this year?

We did well in conference last year IMO

21-9 Would make us a lock IMO.

20-10 will probably do it.

I just want single digit losses in conference bc it looks fancy though.

It's still going to have an effect due to scheduling imbalance. When you only miss one team a year, everything is pretty even, now you miss three and it could change how things look.

I guess it remains to be seen how much of an impact that will have though.

Just looking at this, I would say Miss State may have the toughest schedule since they miss out on Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri.

Isn't the general rule of thumb that if you go 20-10 you should be right in the thick of it?

Yeah, that sucks.

I wish we could figure out a way to miss Auburn since they own Mainieri. Sure, we may be 10-8 against them under Paul, but they've beaten us in 4 out of 6 series we've played since he's been here and we haven't won a series against them since '09.
