Winning the SEC outright would be a lock. Anything else, there are too many unknowns.

That depends a lot on what happens around our league and others. Who else wins and just as importantly who loses.

Records: overall, conference, RPI, and SOS.

All TBD.

Most years 20. With the addition of OU and Texas I would say 19 would do it

Georgia did it last year with 17. I’d say 18 is very likely.

South Carolina got 20 in 2016 and didn't get a national seed. I can't remember why, perhaps weak OOC results. Can't imagine a 20 win team not getting one this year, it's certainly not common.

For us 20 is a guarantee
18-19 is almost definitely
17 is likely

At this point it’s looking like 5 SEC top 8 seeds between the 7-1 teams to us at 6-2

Almost definitely? 18 or 19.

20 absolutely gets LSU there unless they bomb the tourney.

Probably 17 or 18 but the SEC standings seem to have a major split between have and have nots currently. There are 5 teams with 1 or 2 losses currently and 4 others with 3 losses. It's hard to expect 5 or more SEC teams to get top 8 national seeds, so LSU will need to be one of those top four or five teams in the SEC standings. A sweep this weekend would be big for our chances going forward.

20 gets you a national seed no doubt.
18 might get you there but 20 is the golden number
