I’m not sure how many schools can say they have won 3 championships with 3 consecutive coaches. But it sure as hell is a damn good accomplishment and says a lot about LSU. I was trying to think of any in recent history and I can’t think of one.

Miami starting in the '80s

Schnellenberger
Johnson
Erickson

That might be it though.

Howard Schnellenberger, Jimmy Johnson and Dennis Erickson at Miami. Butch Davis would have made it four had he stayed one more year.

It’s Butch Davis but he didn’t win one. He left the year before they did. He should get just as much credit for it as Coker tho.

nah, Butch should have at least gone the year before.
he easily wins it the next year if he stays, but Coker likely never wins one if that happens.

Jones didn’t win one. They won it the year after he left.

Miami, Notre Dame, and I'm pretty sure USC off the top of my head.

There's probably only a handful with 3 coaches that have won a NC period.

In addition to the U, Harvard did it. Of course that was a slightly different time

1898 BR, HAF, HS, NCF[9] William Forbes 11–0
1899 HAF, HS, NCF[9] Benjamin Dibblee 10–0–1
1901 Billingsley Bill Reid 12–0
