+1

I saw that old bastard Bear Bryant whip us.

'70 - Texas A&M. And I'm just as excited about going to Tiger Stadium on 9/18 (vs State) as I was in 1970.

You said quite a bit in your opening post (more than I can comment on). But long before Saban ever set foot on our campus Tiger fans knew the potential latent at LSU. Some of this was realized when Arnsparger became HC in '84. All it takes is to string together a few years of recruiting LA's best talent and some competent coaching and the wins and great seasons start coming.

We have the talent; the pieces are available. Les just needs to put'em together.

1st game was 1979 vs. USC!!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER FORGET THAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!! The BETTER team DIDN'T WIN. THAT NIGHT!!! LSU had NO buisness even being within 3 td's of USC and they OUTPLAYED them from start to finish. The most Valiant effort I have EVER seen from A TEAM.
