This might be my favorite passive aggressive talking point. Transfers are a part of the game now,

are you advocating for a strategy of relying on transfers to stock key areas like QB, WR, DT, OL, etc?

quote:

Also, Lester posted the graphic you all are glancing over, LSU has played more freshmen than most. Young DL, LBs, WR, and OL are showing up on the highlight reel. It’s lazy and disingenuous to say Orgeron can’t develop just because he hit on two transfers.

where did i say "Oregon can't develop"?

and would be 3-0 without Burrow? i specifically said that without Burrow we'd be possibly facing that 5-loss season and when we got him, that was highly unlikely. however, on the same note, i also said that relying on having a QB transfer in to save us every 2-3 years is not sustainable

How are we thin there?

at QB? we essentially have one and we literally only have 2

WE have a starting OL suspended & we’ve already played 7-8 different guys on the OL, all getting meaningful snaps.

How many OL & CB’s do you think we need?

Speaking of predictable....

give up the hatred, you don't have to commit to anything and enjoy the season?

Here’s the same old tired strawman. How many times does it need to be said that disagreeing with the hire or thinking the coach is not very good does not equal hate, nor does it mean we don’t enjoy wins

You predicted LSU would go 6-6, you're nothing but a Negative Nancyboi.

I, on the other hand, predicted 10-2.

Our expectations say what we really think of Oeaux.

And to pile on the predictability, no one will answer this.

There are predictable idiots on both sides and let’s just leave it at that. Both are equally cringeworthy.

Intellectually dishonest as frick. If you don't call what Ree did spamming, you prove that you're just full of shite.

There are specifically people here who absolutely hate Orgeron, not just "disagree with the hire."

If you "disagree with the hire" I hate to tell you, that you're damn near two years past that time and you should probably let it go.

Oh this is BS and you know it. There are absolutely people on this board who do.

Besides the obvious people actually posting that they hate him, posters have tried starting rumors about him going behind Les’ back to Alleva and begging him to fire Miles so he could get the job and other shite like that.

O coordinator holding team back? When Ensminger took over during Miles firing the offense improved dramatically. Inexperience across the board on offense and managing it as best as possible is sign of good coach. QB very green but tons of potential, WR's inexperience evident "having tough time getting separation, O LINE playing good but you have to tailor plays to suit their weaknesses and inconsistencies. IAt this point Ensmingers experience paying dividends. Notice he left TE in to block in order to compensate for weak line.

We get half a dozen people saying this daily.

There's an old saying that anger is just punishing yourself for other people's mistakes. That's precisely what some of you are doing

Orgeron may not be the long term answer, but it's time some of you people accept he's the HC, and let it go. When he fails, you can get all indignant and spam the board with how awesome you are for knowing the hire (over a year ago) was a bad idea.

I personally have reservations, but I've seen some things I like which puts some of my doubt at ease. I'll complain when it's applicable, praise when it's practical.

But I'm not hanging on to a grudge because I didn't like the hire like you people.

year 2 of retooling LSU football,

Jake you’ve called Les Miles unfit for LSU for what, 5-6 years now?

since 2006

quote:

High expectations are great but you just don’t undo a few years of Miles’ downward trends over 1-2 seasons.

you're over-stating those trends. Miles' problem was offensive scheme. period. if he had hired a real OL and let him do his thing, he'd still be our coach. all O had to do was maintain the talent and follow suit

Miles' downward trend was conservative offense. that was true in 2006 and true in 2016. that's all that needed "re-tooling"

quote:

As much as it will pain you to admit, we’ve seen improvements early in year 2.

because we were gifted a RS Jr QB who is good

we say improvements in 2013, too. then fell off in 2014 and continued to be shitty until another savior-transfer showed up

quote:

Not to mention on the recruiting trail.

talent was never a problem under Miles

I’m not worried about QB, we have a QB3 that has taken a season worth of collegiate snaps. That’s all you can ask for

When Brennan redshirts the bridge will be in place for the future on top of the 2 freshmen we bring in this year

we have one competent RT and then a bunch of guys who can't block 1AA pass rushers

You realize neither starting tackle played in that game, right?

Our RT3 was in the game. You are better than this level of nitpicking

We just beat Auburn on the road, featuring an NFL front 7 & a potential 1st Rd QB and you’re complaining about the 2 position groups that really played well against their best position groups lol
