I'm still waiting to see the OP post anything in support of anything LSU. That would make me happy.

The biggest sore spot with me is that LSU constantly beat itself all season with terrible fundamentals on the mound, at the plate, and on the base paths. This is COACHING

We have no idea how to make a pitcher work. Meanwhile, we hate when the other team works the count and runs up our pitches thrown.

Ruffled your feathers eh?
I’ve been attending LSU baseball games since the pre-Bertman days and all LSU sporting events since the Pete Maravich days so I know a bit about winning and losing and winners and losers. I also know what a deluded fan looks like. You fit the bill.
I also can tell I know a lot more about being competitive in any sport than you do. Winners don’t constantly look for excuses. They just look for results.
You have a loser attitude.
You should listen to Ryan Theriot’s rant again and pay close attention to what he says about excuses, even injury excuses. It’s absolutely true. There is a reason he won championships. He has the mindset of a champion.
Every loser I have ever met has used excuses for their failure. I can guarantee you will have an excuse again at the end of next season. That shoe fits you very well...

The same way as O supporters who were elated after a 10 win season (although that was total not regular season 10 wins) even though they got dog walked by Alabama

I’m sure you’ve used a big “if” after our failure against Florida in the championship series of 2017. I saw a choke job but I am certain you have an excuse for our poor performance.
What’s your excuse? I know you’re dying to give it.

I predict that we will see more excuses around here next season when we see the same kind of baseball team that we saw this year -- poor fundamentals, mental mistakes, hitting as though we don't have a paid hitting coach in the organization -- that sort of thing.

If going into this baseball season you were told that LSU was going to finish 5th in the SEC, not win the SEC Tournament, barely be awarded a Regional as the #13 seed, back into a Super Regional and then get swept in it by a team which was one of the last teams selected to the NCAA Baseball Tournament?

Is this the success LSU is after? What about how the season went in 2018?
Is this a trend you think LSU should embrace?

Wanna take another guess?

If LSU only gets a Super Regional by following a loss of the National Seed they are paired with, then they certainly did “back into a Super regional.”

The great threat to LSU baseball is not that CPM might be losing support. The great threat to LSU baseball is that the program might be or is in decline and that the trend won't be reversed in a season or two. That's the great threat. The quality of the program itself is at stake, not the tenure of CPM.

It's a problem when fundamentals are lacking. We've all seen under-talented teams looks scrappy because of sound fundamentals. We more rarely see talented teams look mediocre because they've never learned or refuse to execute sound fundamentals.

Man there’s the glass is half empty then there is this. how miserable do you have to be to think this way?

We hosted and won a regional and hosted and lost a Super. Overall that’s a good season. Over the course of the year there were some very disappointing loses, there were times the team did not look interested there were also injuries to multiple starting pitchers that we were counting on. Ultimately it was a good but unsatisfying season, there’s room from improvement in recruiting but clearly the program is still on solid ground

You realize they can only have 2 paid assistants right? To pay a hitting coach he’d also have to be the recruiting coordinator since the “volunteer” coaches aren’t allowed to do off campus recruiting which is kinda important for a recruiting coordinator which means missing some games and practices. Also we didn’t have a paid hitting coach is some years the offense was better but I suppose that’s all just an “excuse”

The PM pumper are always full of excuses. Their logic is elementary. Thank goodness we don't have to hear how great PM is for a while.

I’m a CPM supporter, and I would have been shocked and appalled. Now, if you added that three of our top four starting pitchers would miss a lot of time, and two would be a non-factor at playoff time; Hess would be average; Walker would not regain his form; Stortz would not play; our catcher would not get up to speed until the SEC tournament; and Cabrera would battle wrist injuries that would prevent him from hitting well, I would say we will be lucky to make the NCAA tournament.

How will we field a team without Reid, Broussard or Hess

Yeah, where will we find a 260 hitter with no power, slow on the base paths, and an average infielder; a relief pitcher who gives up leads 3/4 of his appearances; and a good defensive second baseman who hits 270 with no pwer?
